Meh, as a straight bloke myself I have to admit when I first heard Amber Heard (see what I did there) prefers women to men I too said "what a waste". Ellen Page, as well. You can't have them all I guess. Just know it never was fully serious, and we usually don't mean it in a judgmental way. Just forgive our ignorance since we've had easy lives and are used to everything being given to us on a silver platter

now that you mentioned Ellen she is the only that could make me say "what a waste" :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. But not the "Ellen" you posted above but the other Ellen...from the tv show. Mostly since I like older women...short haired women and also: women with personality. Amber Heard is exactly the opposite lol.

There are also some porn actresses who "do" it only with other women, like some Hungarian pornstars, but wouldn't get jealous since can't think of any of them that fits in my "type".

I'm into feminine ladies my age or slightly older myself, but Ellen is such a wonderful human being. As far as attraction goes, I'm steering more towards Portia

Yeah, I was going to say that I actually *have heard* gay guys say this about straight guys. (And in all honesty I can't say the thought hasn't crossed my mind about certain straight women.)

It would seem to be a fairly human response...what is desirable and we cannot have is thought of as a waste.

Remember that it is a statement about them, rather than a statement about you. To the extent you're able, try to see it as a compliment...it rather is one.

I've heard people say "what a waste" or "what a shame" to my gay friend... everytime he hears that he laughs and just takes it as a compliment!

honestly, I don't see this as offensive... people are simply stating that they're so good-looking that the fact that they'll never be interested in them frustrates them like hell!

^this^, only time I've heard it, it's been used in a joking manner.
Just like they'd say off married men.

Can see it might be offensive/anoying, when used in a serious manner though.

I hate when people say shit like that. I've heard girls say it about gay men and I've heard boys say it about gay women. Its stupid, rude, homophobic, and ignorant.

Ugh. I dislike comments like this. It's as if the commenter thinks the only value the other person has is what they can be to that specific commenter. (If that makes sense.) Just seems very selfish to me.

I've had girls say this type of thing to me before. I've had them ask me why I have to be gay, say that I'm not ugly enough to be gay, all sorts of things. It is kind of annoying. Sexual harassment is not the sole property of males. I get tired of all the supposedly well-meaning "hugs" from straight girls who admit they are thirsty for me.

Also, I'm tired of people who think I can't be gay simply because I don't "act like it." There is no one way to be gay. Even within the population of people who accept us, there are still quite a few misconceptions sometimes.

As I've said in another thread, it's straight guys that are such wastes :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. Stuck with all those straight women haha. I've seen plenty of them who are far too demanding or way too bitchy, and get they keep getting what they want! Smh. XD

What most girls usually mean by that, is the fact they wasted their arousal attraction on man, that doesn't like women. I know for sure that's the case with me.There is nothing sexy about gay men to me.I mean sure, they are good looking, but I have come to realize in my life there's a difference between attractive, sexy, and attraction.

For example Matt Bomer play Christian Grey. What's the purpose of him playing a straight character?

Next time, a girl puts her hands on her, you need to take action and defend yourself.
