So recently I've started saving to try and pay off my overdraft I accumulated whilst I was a student. Im usually pretty good at managing money but this overdraft just isn't shifting. So I plan to pay it off in 7 months in a lump sum. I've just started saving as much as I can each month and I have downloaded a savings tracker to keep my eye on the progress. But it's proving really difficult with bills and other monthly costs.

So my question is are you good at managing your money or do you fritter it away on pointless things?

    What money?

But seriously, I still live at home and haven't really grown up enough to deal with adult financial things, which is kind of sad. Soon enough....

    Superb.

I have enough to pay, and enough to play.

Generally I'm good with resisting temptation and have very few luxury needs.

I'm not really good with money. Right now, i got some extra money, that i should save, but Steam is trying to tempt me again...

Seriously, i will not spend it now, but i buy at least one or two expensive things per month (like a new game, that's expensive for me), and sometimes i end up having financial problems.

But i'm getting better at it, slowly, and i have some money saved.

I'm really good at saving money... because I don't like spending it  If I won the lottery and had £10 million I wouldn't buy a mansion or a supercar or whatever; I'd probably just buy the fastest gaming pc money can buy and I'd be content.

I'm horrible at saving money in real life, it takes a short while before i give in into temptation. Though in video games i'm pretty good at saving. No matter how much an item is, unless i have triple the amount of the cost, i don't buy it.

Yes. But I don't have debts because college was free and I never went to university. I'm usually pretty thrifty... just not to the extent of buying rubbish low value items.

I'm good at saving money  I know money doesn't grow on trees and feel bad spending it on things I don't really want. It probably won't be as easy to save when I don't live at home and have bills to pay :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I am the worst with money. I save up money, that's all fine. But then when something that I want comes along, I just buy it without second thought. I cannot help myself.

It's odd, but the less money I have, the better I am at managing it...

I'm decent with money. However, it does seem that as soon as I get the money, I has to spend the money. Which is adult life I guess. So sad. :tears:

I'm a huge saver. I don't desire many material goods, so it's very easy for me to save money. It's easier than tying my shoes. If I need something, I most likely won't get it unless I think that not having it in the long run will cost me more than buying it now. But even then I always try to get the best price for it.

The only time I'm not too cheap is when I shop for clothes and shoes. My self-esteem is too low to look a clown, so I don't look too much at the price tags, but I also know not to shop in very expensive shops, which means that I am kinda saving even then.
