I don't normally post stuff from ThinkProgress, but this shit is too good. Basically, we don't need education funding. Unless it's to get rocks.

Considering it's Socrates and Plato, they'd start by figuring out what exactly blues is.

Really though, what a brilliant piece of doublethink! First declaring schools don't need and aren't about money and then claiming they should be run as private businesses... I can just see Plato (All education in the hands of sophists? Never!) Aristotle (Illogical!) and Socrates (Does he even know what education is?) collectively facepalming in the afterlife.

yep because education hasn't evolved and progressed at all sense the days of Plato and Socrates at all and Ancient Greece was a wonderful place where nothing was wrong.

As long as ideologies dominate over actual thinking, this moronic statement and others like it will be the result. I am no fan of education as it is currently constituted, I find it deeply flawed. But for someone to come up with this nonsense, from someone who probably has only a passing acquaintance with the founders of western thought, is a profound disgrace.

As a future teacher, this is personally insulting.
