I used to have lousy speed and endurance because I had the tendency to "brute force" my way through the water. But stroking as hard as you can just makes for a lot of drag and rough water flow instead of propelling you forward (unless you're a human jet-ski like Olympic swimmers lol). If you use long, smooth movements you'll go faster for a lot less effort.

I love to play in the pool and can swim decent but I can't stand getting water on my face so I don't very often.... I like the pool in the summer because florida is hot, sticky and miserable in the summer....

I love to go swimming in the summer. I'm not too good of a swimmer though I know how to doggie paddle if that counts.

I can swim. I'm just getting back into it after a year away. At the moment I am currently at 40 lengths (25 metres each) in 30 minutes. I used to do 64 in 45 minutes.

I've been in swimming lessons since I was 5 years old. I've had a few years off here and there but I'll always go back.

Decent. I learned in my 20s, after a lifetime terror of water. My ability varies depending on how much I swim: there are periods I'm a very regular lap swimmer, and--no surprise!--at those times my ability is probably the best, at least as far as distance is concerned.

From the age of 2 up to 11 years old, I had ££££ spent on swimming lessons, private swimming tutoring, swimming aids, etc etc etc and the furthest I got was at the age of 5, and I got 5 meters without a float.

    I just sink.

    My booty is too big.

I grew up on the coast of beautiful Adriatic, so I believe if I summed it all up, I probably spent a good year in the sea. However, swimming for me was always just a way to come closer to where I wanted to spend time below surface

I've been swimming for so long. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: In the Netherlands you can get swimming certificates, and I had all 6 of them (most people only have 2 or 3: A B (and C), but I have "advanced swimming" 1, 2 and 3 in addition). Moreover, I have one for snorkeling, but I had to stop due to my ears.. =( I wanted to be a professional swimmer, actually. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I've been told to be a good swimmer (perhaps since I had lessons from 4 up to and including 10 / 11). :icon_bigg I really love swimming. Swimming pools, seas, ... I love to dive underwater, float a bit around and do all sorts of things in water. So yeah, I voted the "fish" option, just like my zodiac sign.
