I originally found this video from The New Civil Rights Movement, and felt like sharing it here.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo grills Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore on same-sex marriage – LGBTQ Nation

Got to give it to Chris Cuomo and CNN here. He took Roy Moore to task, and I'm glad to see that there's still some journalistic integrity out there to not just simply throw interviewees softballs. Roy Moore is the 21st century George Wallace, and I hope he loses his job for a second time. I love to see news networks run interviews like this.

A very heated argument lol. Fantastic job I say on Chris's part xD Roy didn't want to answer and seems like he tried redirecting it all onto chris or so that's what I heard.

Whats actually scary is that a man so inarticulate ("state judges are have authority" for instance), pig-headed and seemingly thick as two planks was put into the position of being a judge, let alone reaching the position of Chief Justice.

Mind you, America elected George Bush as President twice so I guess anyone can aspire to anything! Land of hope and dreams!

Interesting debate. Moore seemed like he was only contradicting himself throughout the whole thing.

I disagree completely that Roy Moore is inarticulate. He's completely wrong and I disgaree with all of his interpretations of the constitution that he has provided as arguments, but he's arguing in favor of his position (even if it is wrong) about as well as I would expect from a judge.

also I'm suprised there is actually something worth watching on CNN that isn't Zakaria's show

A broken clock is right twice a day, I guess? Maybe CNN will learn this is what people want to see.

It'll be nice when the people governing us are from at least from our parent's generation, and not the generation before that! Grandpa maybe needs to retire.

It amazes me how such people manage to rise so high career-wise because that means that they actually had to have people who supported them...which is quite frightening.

Well, it seems bigotry is quite a persistent problem. Strom Thurmond, a strong supporter of segregation, was the first write-in candidate to win a U.S. Senate seat.

well Moore was appointed as a Circut court judge in the early 90s (somewhat ironically because he lost the race for the same position in the early 80s). It isn't like he's had overwelhming support by the Alabama people in his illustriuous :slight_smile:rolle:slight_smile: career as a judge.

nah I don't think they will. There really isn't anything watchable on that channel anymore with the exception of Zakaria and State of the Union but that's been going down hill fast since Candy Crowley left.
