Did you play with Barbies growing up?

No, I never played with barbies.

My mom gave one to me, one time. I undressed it and put it back in it's box. I thought the cloth's texture was awful.

I never understood what I was supposed to do with barbies anyway.

 

No I didn't. We didn't have them at my place or friend's places. =)

 

I did and loved them so very much. I had like sixty of them: I could play for hours and hours. I had my favourite one who had like eight kids and kept getting pregnant and giving birth to the last one while her husband fainted. Then one of my other barbies would either break both of her legs, get pregnant as well or die and in that last scenario, since I couldn't just stop playing with one of them because she was dead, on the day of her funeral they'd realized that she was still alive and be all happy about it. They were easier days!

I did have a lot of dolls when I was a child, but I never actually enjoyed 'playing' with them. I would just sort of pick a theme, dress all my dolls according to the theme, then repeat.
I did have a truck load of polly pocket stuff, which I was obsessed with, but I only enjoyed setting it up, never playing with it.
I don't know... I was a weird kid, I still am XD...

 

I played with dolls avidly, until I was 9 or 10 years old. Then I moved to internet games haha

 

Yes I had everything's he dream house, the car, the horse ranch all for Barbie I loved dolls

 

I put no, but in reality I did have barbies that I'd play with on occasion. It just wasn't very often. It wasn't that I wasn't in to feminine things, but dressing dolls was boring.

 

I didn't but I didn't play with trucks or cars much either. I was really into legos and I played with my stuffed animals. I was very fond of them. I also played dress up A LOT. I loved to pretend I was a teacher. I loved wearing dress clothes too. I still do lol.

 

By playing with barbies, you mean letting my dogs chew their heads off? Sureee, I played with barbies then.

 

I remember popping their limbs off and stripping them naked, and making fun of how they looked.

I think it was the only thing I could do at the time, until I got my first set of hot wheels and trains. That's when I went nuts on those types of toys, then of course video games.

 

i used to play with barbies. that's what happens when you grow up with a female cousin who is more or less the same age as you. i have another female cousin who is 2 years older than me, and everyone else i'm related to is at least 5 years my senior, and mostly female still. not many men in this family.

 

I recreated Dukes of Hazzard (the show) with Barbies.

 

No, well not by myself, only when I was playing with my nieces, as my sister's were much older then I, and I in a way grew up with my younger nieces around. That is the only time I really played with Barbies though.

 

No but occasionally I wanted to. But I knew they were "girl" toys so I never gave in to those wishes.

 

I have 3 sisters so I got a hold of their toys back then and used to get in trouble with it not because I was playing with them but I used to shave its hair.

 

I did, but i went for the more punk rock edge and drew tattoos in sharpie and cut their hair...made them form a band and shit...

 

Yeah, I did play with barbies when I was young, but just because my dinosaurs were hungry as hell, and somemone had to drive my big cool toy cars lol, I hated Ken though, idk why.

 

hell yea..barbies were the shit..till probly 9ish..we had ken barbies too and we were horny kids so wed always make them do it haha..i named mine maxxine haha dont kno why.. used to love making her clothes..one time my sister had one of those small kelly barbies and she left her outside on accident and this dog chewed off her legs holy shit i cried so hard it was like totally traumatic haha..and it wasnt even mine lol..i was a wierd kid..maybe its cuz we named them and gave them personalities that it felt so traumatic haha..
