There is this thing, particularly among straight girls (though I am not saying all or even the majority of straight girls), who say things like "I want a boy and I want him to be gay."

I remember a year ago this girl said something along the lines of that and basically they wouldn't want their child any other way. And it wouldn't be the last time I will see this. And I just felt it was so insulting and it's as dumb as the whole "I want a gay best friend." I don't think these girls realize that basically 1) they are assuming gay men all act a certain way 2) that they are treating gay men like "cute children". :bang:

Just makes me so :***: angry...but hopefully they will grow out of this phase.

Exactly. Even when it was happening around my High School, a lot of them where treating it like a trend. There was this one gay guy who pretty much everyone knew and he had so many girl friends. I didn't think much of it until I started noticing other girls asking the girls he was friends with if they could introduce them. I couldn't help but think, "Really?" and I sorta felt bad for him. Having all those people expect so much out of him.

And the whole baby thing.. like it's great that you'd be an accepting mother of the child if they ended up being gay but again, it's kinda like a trend for them and with that being said, it's very sad. Like what if that child doesn't turn out gay? Then what? It sounds exactly like the whole "If my child was gay, I'd disown him!" situation. Having high expectations for your future child. Just let them choose who they want to be.

The movie GBF is a great example of how stupid this can look in real life.

It pains me to see that women of fine stature would treat us as dirt.

I two have heard and seen this at my school as well. It boggles my mind to know that people want their son to be gay. That's fine by me but your son should his own orientation. As bigguy8 said in the movie GBF it shows how a teenager goes through living his life when he is outed by one of his friends. I suggest it its a fine movie

    But that's besides the point.

    Still love y'all

It's the people who treat LGBT as a trend, or who have watched too many idiotic movies and shows.

For some reason I kind of wish my family was like that. Then I'd probably have a lot less issues with them. They'd rejoice over having a gay son.

I agree!! Ugh it ticks me off so much. I don't hear "I want a gay son" much but I do hear "I want a gay best friend" and I'm thinking....do these people think gays are all the same or something? Is there some personality trait they're supposed to all have? As far as I know, the only thing all gay guys have in common is *gasp* liking other men. Enough, already

In other words gay males are cute little pets that can be trained and follow you around so they can do battle with each other like they are some kind of real life Pokémon "Gay male go use Fashion Sense" * makes all nearby straight woman instantly fabulous*. Now use "sassy bitchy remark" on that bitch I don't like * enemy self-esteem is lowered*.

How do I achieve this title? I must learn the ways of the super gay.

Exactly! With the whole gay best friend thing, they don't necessarily want a friend. They just want someone that they can use for their own personal gain. In an ideal world, the sexuality of their friend or child shouldn't play any role in their relationship.
