    I'll let you decide.

♦80% of people I know don't know my sexuality.
♦I have no real fixed personality, rather a smorgasbord of personalities. Sometimes, I'm different in the real world as opposed to the real world.
♦I only discuss limited topics; for example, school, mutual friends, goss. Friend finds my profile and scrolls through? They'd find opinions nobody knows.
♦And I'm more well-spoken on here. Irl, I spit what I'm thinking spontaneously, which can come out muddled, on a bad day. But not when you find yourself sitting behind a backspace button.

I said slightly different because I feel like more of an outsider here than I do IRL.

That doesn't seem right, why do you think that is? :/

I dunno, I do have a fair few friends on here, just doesn't seem like there are many people who are very fond of me. I tend to be pretty much friends or friendly with everyone IRL, just here it feels like there's a lot of close friendships that have formed before I even joined which makes it difficult for me to join in, especially with my intense sarcastic humor. Not dissing EC, I love this place, the people and the advice I get, but I just can't help but feel like an outsider.

I see. I get the part about people having already formed friendships, I see it too. However I've noticed that the EC community is huge, it seems that there are quite a few new members joining every day. I only joined last week so I haven't really made many friends here yet either, but I'm optimistic that they'll come in time

Anyhoo feel free to drop me a line any time!

Glad to see someone who can relate. Well, welcome to EC  I've stayed optimistic, and just in the past week I've been speaking to some amazing people.

I surely will, nice to meet you.

Thank you, and nice to meet you too

    I fear we're going a bit off-topic here haha

Ah well, friend making isn't such a bad thing to go off-topic with.

I'm more open here than I am with most people in my life. I have posted/blogged things on here that almost no one in my life knows. I can actually count on one hand how many people know some of these things.

I'm pretty much the same, except that I can discuss sex, sexuality, and, last but not least, mention the hot guy I saw, in detail, on EC.

    Therefore, I voted "slightly different."

Like Kaiser said, what you see is what you get. I don't see much point in wearing a Guy Fawkes mask in some forum and going about whispering "remember, remember the 5th of November"...

Now the problem with real life is that I lost my only chance at the genetic lotery, which is the main reason why I'm forced to keep a huge emotional distance between myself and the rest of human beings. Outside I'm distant and cold with everyone, and I'm getting more cynical and cold every year, which I regret at times, but I have no idea how to prevent or stop it.
Here I feel free to talk about the real me, give you a hug, and expressing my real emotions in general... This is the only place in my life right now where I feel safe enough to tell the story how I see it, and just be myself.

Well I can talk about guys on here and I can say whatever random thought pops into my head without getting stares from everyone. So yeah I voted slightly different.

I'd I'm pretty similar to my offline self. Maybe a bit more confident online but only because of my introverted nature.

I'm more private in real life. Here, I can talk about my feelings.

I have the same personality and humor in real life and on EC. Here, though, I share thoughts and emotions that I would never express in the real world. It's really liberating. Thus, I said only slightly different

Slightly different. On here I can talk more freely about LGBT issues.
Non-LGBT friends either don't get it, or try to get it to much/become pro-LGBT fanatics so to speak.
