God as an entity has always enable human to use his all encompassing truth to back up malicious claims. Even the benefivial religious Christian revelations allows for the abuse of bad revelations. It is hopeless to blame church, political leaders, and its better to do the unthinkable and reach out to our beloved patriarchs. Else if we only blame the leaders that we elected or allowed to be elected then we only bystander to this farce that is allowed to continue.

This is a joke to anyone who takes their faith seriously. This is not the work of a mainstream denomination, but a few individuals, perpetuating the myth that all religions are made up of the ignorant and the unthinking. If the members of a church in any way insist on your being exactly the same as they themselves believe, think, behave; you are dealing with a cult at worst and the misguided at least.

For those of you who have been hurt by religion in some form, remember that you are still dealing with flawed individuals and not God Himself/Herself. As a Christian (and there are denominations that would say I wasn't truly Christian, because I'm an Anglican) I am sorry for anyone who has been harassed, because of your sexuality, know that you didn't experience true Christianity, but a pretext to drive out anything that smacks of being "other", something fear and misunderstood. Repay their ignorance with kindness and, yes, laughter.
