I prefer female pronouns, but I'm not out to family or most other people, so I end up with male pronouns. They don't really bother me so much, but female ones just plain feel better/right....

    He/him or they/them is fine.

Although I never really pass, so I get stuck with she/her pronouns the second I say anything.

Funny story though - one time I was out shopping with a friend, and this one lady working at the store we were in came up to us, and asked "Is there anything I can help you with today, ladies?". Immediately upon giving me a second look, she got flustered and awkward and started appologising, "Omg I'm sorry, lady and gentleman." I felt bad that she felt bad, but I was also really excited that she didn't read me as female.

It/ that I don't male nor female pronouns though. Most strangers call me male pronouns. Most people that have known me call me female pronouns.
On a side not, can someone explain to me why they/them is used to refer to one person? I get very confused by that as those pronouns are plural and not singular when a person is referring to himself/herself/itself.

He/him or they/them. My friends use they/them because I'm not completely out to them.

I prefer "she" in private or online, but I'm not out many places offline, so I will tolerate "he"...

I prefer neutral pronouns the most.. Rarely do people on this site refer to me with anything other than male pronouns however. I suppose that's mostly due to my user being a male character. It's not that I mind male (or female) pronouns, but I'd like to take a page out of Kaiser's book here to express my feelings on this:
It's just nice when people take the time to use the right pronouns, or to clarify if they're unsure.

This post was pretty much just a whiney way to say "neutral"

Male pronouns. Still pretty difficult to get my friends/family to cooperate though.

Just recently my dad called me "darling" and quickly corrected himself to say "buddy". That's the first time he's ever acknowledged my identity. Baby steps though, I'm not going to kick and scream if someone calls me by female pronouns - probably just quietly correct them.

I honestly haven't given much thought to this. Ideally, I would prefer something gender neutral, but gender neutral terms seem hard to find and to enforce. With male and female, I can't really deal with either without feeling somehow dishonest, since neither applies to me.

    Maybe this helps:

    He/him/his,
However I always find it really awkward to correct people, because I'm in the weird half-out phase where I don't know who knows or not, so I usually end up going with whatever the other person refers to me as.

He/Him/His or They/Them/Their is preferred. Due to my being in the closet and not even remotely passing, I get bombarded with "she" and "her" and feminine pet names offline though.

Since I don't at all pass as female offline, I go by he and that is OK.

However, online, I prefer feminine pronouns.

I don't like gender neutral pronouns because they are plural. And I am only one person. It really is annoying that English has no gender neutral singular pronoun. Aside from "it". But that is not for people...

ze/zir is best for me but they/them is okay however since I'm not really like. out out (lol) I don't really correct anyone for using she.. although tbh it kills me inside to even type she relating to myself. like my heart sinks... and now I feel like crying. OKAY YEAH that's that

To hear "she/her/young lady" never was a pleasure. It felt just wrong.

I don't really care, honestly. I'm not offended by male or female pronouns. I'd never correct someone for using either. I'd like to try out gender neutral (they) pronouns, but I'm not used to them so they still sound kinda weird to me.
