    Yes.

(Just a reminder also that the language in this forum must remain English.)

Yes, I am conversant in it but I doubt I could write it in a grammatically correct manner. I took it in college and really, really enjoyed it. I was going to take more French in college but the professor was a megabitch who ran the class like a drill sergeant so I did a drop/add the first week and ended up with two wonderful ladies from South American countries, back to back, who taught me Espanol and would always heartily greet me whenever they saw me on campus. One of the few positive college experiences. *sigh* Also, in major U.S. cities, there is ample opportunity to practice Spanish and keep it in shape. Good stuff.

I grew up speaking Spanish, but I lived in a racist area so I stopped speaking it. Now I have a huge fear of speaking it even though I'm not scared of racist people.
Why? Couldn't people use google translate?

You should be proud of that skill. My two cents on this, but it's up to you.

The monolingual policy is probably here because it would cause an administrative mess NOT to have it. Also, I'm sure short blurbs are fine if accompanied by a translation alongside them. Translate doesn't always do the best job since some words have multiple meanings or shades of gray.

You can't trust google translate. I spoke to a Japanese person just learning English, and occasionally he used google translate when he needed the right english word to say to me in a conversation... There were some very confusing times.

    I don't know any Spanish.

Kind of. I learnt a bit of Spanish in high school, had it for three years. I'm ashamed to admit I forgot most of it though.
