I'm not much of a beer drinker nowadays although I was before, my top 5 favorites are:
    1. 805
    2. IPA Lagunista
    3. Hefeweizen
    4. Sam Adams Boston Lager
    5. New Castle

I absolutely hate anything domestic: coors, bud light, budweiser, etc.

My top 5 favorite liquors are:

    1. Jack Daniels
    2. Jim Beam
    3. Tennessee Honey
    4. Christian Brothers Brandy
    5. Hennessy

I'm a 'neat' drinker which I guess in bartender's terms means drinking straight and no ice.

    What're your favorite beers/liquors?

    2. Any type of brandy (Yeah, I'm not very picky, lol)
    3. Wine (Merlot, Rosé, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage or Drostdy Hof's Adelpracht)
    4. Shooters (Springbokkies, Melktertjies, tequila - with salt and lemon)

Gee, I sound like an alcoholic

I'm actually not a big drinker to be honest. I just enjoy a variety of drinks (not at the same time, obviously).

Probably not a good idea to be posting here since I sort of had a slight problem with drinks and stuff... Anyway, I won't list favorites but would like to take this chance and say a few words about possibly the best liquor I've ever had!

    Riga Black Balsam

This thing is like, the nectar of the gods, it's so... so... It's amazing! There are all these flavors inside, spices and stuff, and it's so thick and kind of sour/sweet taste to it. It's perfect! Also, the ceramic bottle is cool. It's quite strong and still I would recommend not mixing it with anything else.

    It works. EVERY time.

But seriously, I'm not much of a drinker.
The only thing I can really drink is Everclear, mixed with Hawaiian Punch, but that's an ironic irregularity.

However, I have wanted to try more wines.
Thing is, I don't want to drink alone, and those I could drink with, I don't exactly trust to that level.

I have no idea what a tipsy Kaiser would be like, let alone a drunk one. LOL!

Even though I grew up in a small town known for making wine, I cannot stand the stuff except the tomato wine that one of my old neighbors used to make. I quit drinking hard liquor because it seems to be nothing more than a fight in a bottle that my drunk ass never wins. Beer? I love beer!

Given the choice i like Shiner Bock the bar I went to on thanksgiving didn't have it and I found Guinness to be a good substitute. I drank my favorite bar completely out of Shiner about three months ago and they gave me a free beer because they ran out of mine so I tried Dos Equis (sp?) it was pretty good and i wound up getting smashed on it though it gave me a massive hangover. If all they have is big name American beers I usually nurse a couple Bud lights and leave early.

I'm surprised about all the Heineken mentions as it's considered horse piss where I'm from.

Anyway. I like craft beers, and these are my favourites:
    - BrewDog Hardcore IPA
    - Crew Republic 7:45 Escalation
    - Hop Valley Citrus Mistress

And in the range of 'slightly more mainstream beers':
    - Omer (blonde beer)
    - Gulpener or Alfa (Dutch pilsners)

Technically not beer, but still really good:
    - Desperados

I'm not into liquors as there's too much alcohol to my liking.

Wow, this was hard. How am I supposed to pick only 5 whiskies!? Aside from Laphroaig and Ardbeg, which are my favorites, this is more a list of what I'm digging at the moment than an all-time favorites list. (And if by some crazy chance anyone I know in real life is here this is, oddly enough, quite personally identifying information...)

    - Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
    - Ballast Point Sculpin IPA
    - Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA
    - Mammoth Brewing Company IPA 395
    - Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA

    Scotch:
    - Laphroaig (e.g. Quarter Cask) or Ardbeg (e.g. Uigeadail)
    - Kilchoman anything
    - Port Charlotte anything
    - Balvenie 17yr Peated Cask
    - Highland Park 15yr
    - Bruichladdich Classic Laddie

    Rye/Other:
    - Few Rye
    - Anchor Distilling Old Potrero 18th Century Style Rye
    - WhistlePig Rye
    - Michter's 10yr Bourbon
    - Rittenhouse Rye
    - Del Maguey Chichicapa
