    I'd say inspiration as well.
My favorite songs are the ones I can relate to. Listening to these can either make me feel happy about a certain aspect of my life, or help inspire or motivate me to change something about my life that needs changing.

Music is a certain arrangement of sound waves. Our brains interpret these sound waves as pleasing, for the most part. What some people and cultures call pleasing might refer to something that might make another person want to tear their ears out and run around in circles. This is where personal preference comes in.

Music, for me, exceeds where words fail. It's a door into another world, my own reality. I can be whisked away into this sea of feelings where I'm alone and peacefully content. I can brood about my own problems. I think that music is one of the best forms of therapy, and I'm sure that a lot of EC users use or used music to help them through depression and difficult times.

Music is basically everything, and it's definitely the best part of being alive

    Music is everything.
Music is there for you in every situation of your life.

When you are sad, music is there and gives you hope and solace. When you are happy, it gives you beats to dance to and lyrics that make you smile. When you want to party, it goes out with you all night. When you want to turn off the world, just turn on the music.

There is always a song that explains your situation and your feelings better than you could do with your own words.

"Joined at the soul with a pair of headphones. We need nobody to let ourselves go. Always on my side as we rock a stage show. In an ocean of music we move with the flow" Flow by Dub FX

I find the hypnotic nature of music so entrancing that I start to see visions of myself in the future, or just random visions of myself in a random place at a random time. Kind of like a meditation session. For me, music is very much about the audibility as much as it is about the visuals it can evoke. Hope that makes sense :s
Anyway, tonight I can hear the crickets outside chirping. So beautiful!

Everything is music, when I go home, I throw nickles into the oven, and it's music, CRASH BOOM BANG, PIM POW CHAW - Bjork

I love music, and it's a huge part of my life, but it really isn't anything to me, it's just there and I enjoy it.

Music to me, is like a thin line that connects everything.

Idk, it sounds a bit hocus pocus, but to be honest, music is what keeps me going. In my free time I sing, write songs, and produce. Nothing all too big yet, but I'm very passionate about it. I am never bored, because when I have nothing to do, I'll have music. Either listen to it and belt along, or make my own music. It's great.

Music expresses things that words can only hint at, it is a whole different dimension of meaning and experience.

Music is something I can lose myself in; it kind of gives me a high. I don't have to think about anything other than what notes come next. It's nice.

I see music as nothing as it is vibrations which go through my ear and gets processed in mah brain to create a noise, and as I can't see these waves, I don 't see them as anything.
