So first of all I wanted to say hi, my name is Ania
I'm out to one of my teachers, he was really supportive and he will organize lesson about trans* with my help so we can see if my class is toleranr and I can come out of closet. It felt so great that he had no problems with it and started calling me by my real name :3

I'm a pre-T ftm guy... and I have an Adam's apple now. Idk how it happened, but it did! ^_^ My voice has gotten a lot deeper. It's so weird... Is this super rare, or...? X_X I'm not intersexual, just so you guys know; My genitalia is 100% wrong! Still, it's weird how manly my face looks compared to my female relatives, and now... an Adam's Apple... It's actually bigger than a lot of my guy friends, not that it's super jutting out yet- It's like, noticeable, but not TOO comical. XD Hehe...

New quarter started and I emailed my two teachers with preferred name/pronouns info and one of my teachers was very cute and very polite and happy for me even! I'm really looking forward to this quarter

First gender-specialized therapy appointment was a success!
My therapist was impressed by how much research I had done and how comfortable I was in my identity.

Idk, I don't have Adam's apple, but my body is quite masculine too.

    Hi Ania, welcome.

I do have an Adam's apple. Its not overly noticeable, except to me. My mom and aunt have smaller ones as well, but we all have had hormone issues as teens that sort of lead to more masculine traits. At least that was what I was told.
I don't think its common, but its not exactly uncommon either.

Hmmm... Interesting... Maybe I have hormone issues? I don't think anything's wrong with me, but I only get 4 periods a year, or every three months. :/ They're regular though, just regularly rare. XD

I somehow didn't realize that if you're passing it's not necessarily going to be obvious; I was expecting that if I passed, a billion people would call me "sir" or something but that didn't happen :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: BUT I think it's possible I passed today, and also two of my friends have said I pass (but they might just be trying to make me happy...) Anyway, I'm sure there's a victory hidden somewhere in that unnecessarily negative post

    Congrats to everyone else

So today my friend ran into me as I was walking out of the bathroom, snapped a selfie with me, and captioned it 'there's a boy in the girls' bathroom'.
Because day after TDoV, right? :astonished:)
I found that super adorable of her. <>

I've already posted in this thread before but w/e, I went to a gender diverse clothes swap yesterday and swapped some of my more feminine clothes for more masculine clothes  It feels a little bit nicer to present myself as masculine even if I don't have a binder, but I've measured myself and am looking at the mo

Ok, this seems super-silly, but it seriously brought misty tears to my eyes. Just updated my Amazon account and was buying a Kindle book. Looked over to the right of the page and saw "Deliver to Emma's iPad Pro." Who knew Amazon meant so much, right?

But really, it's the little things. :icon_bigg

So I guess I came out to my parents. Not in a great way - drunk and via text. Heard things like I'm just confused and can't accept myself as gay the day after... but I believe this will get better, and they are going to help me get a therapist so that's good.

I feel awful and full of extreme doubts, however I did make that first important step outside the realm of my own head which is a good thing; it means one way or the other, my process of figuring out this whole gender thing is going forward and I hope that with professional help, I'm going to finally be confident.

So I spoke to my GP today and she's contacting a gender specialist so that I can have proper therapy and to open the door to hormones and things if I need them. It's nothing solid but it is a big step ^_^

Also, I'm starting to realise I have a STRONG preference to the female side of things, so transitioning may be able to help me more than I thought.

After weeks of forcing myself doing a more feminine walking style, I've noticed that I tend to slip into it subconsciously. Won't be long until it's my default at this point.

I notice when I have to present male at work I walk more dude bro. But when I'm girl mode I tend to walk very feminine. Also heels tend to make my hips sway and bob more femininely.

For me at this point, I basically just have to pull my shoulders back and my body will default to a more feminine walk.

When I researched the subject months ago, most of the articles said that feminine walking styles on transgender women just looks fake and unnatural and that you shouldn't even try. That's bullshit if you ask me and I've basically proven that it is at this point.

Heels is a really good way to practice it since you'll have huge difficulties walking in heels if you don't walk with your hips, so I suggest practicing in heels first before wearing flats for anybody who wants to practice it.
