Wow! Congrats! I'm still getting the guts to talk about getting a binder with my parents.

I got an appointment with the best gender therapist in town. I'm so happy for this journey to continue.

Thanks, I know I should remind myself of those things more often, I usually assume the worst when it comes to me being trans. ^^

At my pop's 70th birthday last weekend, someone mistook me for a boy and I kind of liked it  I personally didn't think I passed that well, especially since I haven't bought a binder yet and still use the women's room out of safety (although if there was a gender-neutral I would totally use that), but it felt awesome.
Also speaking of bathrooms, I needed to go to the bathroom at school, and nobody was around, so I went into the "kind-of-sort-of-not-really-but-maybe" gender-neutral disabled toilets (again, nobody was around) and that was possibly one of the best pees I've ever had at school XDDDDD

I don't know if I should call it a victory, but I have been 'mistaken' as a woman several times in the past few months. I think since this time last year its been about 6 times I've been referred to as a woman by people in person (never anyone familiar with me, just strangers).
I am XY genetically and haven't done any HRT or surgeries. I don't wear padding, makeup or any clothing bought from a women's section of a store. It feels like a victory because its reinforcing and makes me feel hopeful that one day I might be able to pass as female--but I haven't gotten any farther outside my shell since 9 months ago about trying to 'actualize' my desires to be feminine...That would be a victory with much more risk involved.

Finally changed my preferred name at my university and I submitted paperwork for new insurance to ACTUALLY get hormones going.

At the end of the game, we were shaking hands, and one of the players on the opposite team referred to me as "buddy", which I feel is used moreso on guys, so that was pretty cool and unexpected.

Finally got my signed forms to get my gender marker changed. Now I just need to get my case worker to resend one of them with my birth name since my name isn't legally changed yet. Let's hope the DMV doesn't start shit.

Six year old sis: "You're my sister-brother. Because you were my sister, but now you're my brother."

Still called she and her and my birth name, but this is a step in the right direction at least. Plus I know the only reason she's holding on to the sister part is because her little self doesn't like the idea of having another big brother and being the only girl.

I don't know if this counts as a victory but it made me really happy so anyway, I was talking with my Nanna today and the issue of transphobia came up. Although her side of the family tend to be more tolerant than my Dad's side, she's said some problematic things in the past and I'd always been scared to come out to her.

All she said about it was that she couldn't understand why transphobia even existed. She kept saying that she couldn't imagine how horrible it must be to feel as though you were born in the wrong body, and that trans people don't choose to be that way and she doesn't understand how anyone could blame them for wanting to transition.

I was expecting her to be transphobic and it turns out she's completely baffled and appalled by the concept of transphobia? Like I'm not scared to come out to her anymore, and that's another person to add to the very short list of people who's support I think I can count on.

I gave up questioning for good. Let's not split hairs and make it more complicated than neccasary.
