I know it's not really passing, but one of my classmates told me that he saw me more as a boy than a girl today.. And though I know it's meant as a joke and that the boys from my class love teasing me with the fact that I'm lacking femininity despite being in a "female" body.. but yeah

That's amazing! I look forward to the day where I can experience something like that..

I emailed a parent today using my first name and last name without indicating my title and they responded "Dear Ms. ******",

If they only knew... was a welcome mistake.

While I was home I saw my 2 friends (and Jakob!). While we were setting up our meeting/schedules/etc. they kept referring to me as 'she', so I thought they probably forgot (I came out to them last year but we don't really talk often). As soon as they saw me in person they switched. I also got called 'sir' at least 3 times on my flight yesterday.

fantastic, i bet that made you smile for hours.

i had something similar happen just before Christmas, we were busy in the front part of my office and i was helping one client and a man was standing off to the side, i'd dealt with him before so he was patiently waiting. one of the other workers asked him if he needed help, and he said no im waiting for that lady, pointing at me, oh i mean man.... everyone had a good laugh and i just grinned for about an hour. the poor guy was embarrassed but i was tickled pink.:icon_wink

I survived another day, and to me, on these days, it's a huge victory.

Went onto a website today and it told me I look 53% masculine, 47% feminine and age 16. It's the first time in a long time someone's told me I look near my age [I'm 17, but people think I'm 12] and being told I'm near-equal on facial appearance then hopefully when I meet new people at university they will ask. I know it's just a website ... but

I went out to get Mexican food with some friends (something I don't normally do since it's not really my meal of choice) but not only was the food really good and reasonably priced, but as an added bonus all the servers were super polite without using any male pronouns or titles to talk to me. It was refreshing just to go out and not have to deal with that. And then during our conversations, one of my friends said something along the lines of "you're one of the most bizarrely funny girls I've ever met" that plastered a dumb smile on my face for the whole time I was there. My family won't give me that much, but my friends will, and it really helps me out.

Got a referal to an endocrinologist that doesn't require a letter. Yay! May have to start with out of pocket, though.

Yesterday I went to the female fitting rooms to try on clothes. It's cheating a little, because I work there [but hey, most people know at work, which IS a plus.]

Today, a girl served me at a shop, last time she'd said "Hello sir." today it was "Hello." Then a hesitation, then took the item from me. I was wearing a bra, but it wasn't all that obvious through my coat. So I don't think my body shape is much of an obvious sign. But the not-instantly-calling-me-sir makes my day, every time.

My grandfather was talking about titles in French and mentioned how he didn't approve of the lack of Mx. as a title. I took this as a step towards him coming around. Bit further away with my granny, but that's okay for now.

There was this survery at my school that had gender options "Male", "Female", and "Other". Not a personal victory for me but it's nice that our non-binary friends are getting some recognition!

This isn't a small victory, but I had top surgery yesterday! I feel a little achy where the incisions are, but I feel way better than I expected to. I'm so excited to start this new chapter and never have to wear a binder again!
