That's a good start. Being in Canada don't you have free health care no matter the field?

Seen a therapist for the first time today, and it went really well. She immediately saw me as a man, and is going to make an appointment with an endocrinologist since it may take up to 7 months.

One of my class most popular boys compared my female friends hair to mine.
He said to her "Your haircut is a wannabe of (my name)'s haircut".
Yes that might have been an insult to her (she has pretty short hair) but considering that I am too scared to even embrace my feminity, I felt so happy, literally tingely inside after she told me that he had said this.

As part of a compromise with my parents, I got a haircut. I was dreading it, but it magically became even more feminine than before. The gender fairies have been kind today.

we have free health care but it can be a bitch to get into see a specialist. yesterday my counselor said it would be just a couple of months from the date of referral, and that was late july or early August.

each province has its own health care with federal standards but is free to put it together as they see fit. for instance, full gender reassignment is covered in Ontario but only partially in Newfoundland. example Newfoundland covers bottom surgury but not necessarialy top surgery.

Cut a simple one and a half inches off my hair and viola, suddenly I went from "Oh look at that girl who dresses like a guy" to "Oh f*ck is that a guy or a girl I can't tell" xD
I also finally figured out a way of dressing with my old "girl" clothes that compliments my "Femine but still a guy emo weird thing" style xD I'm glad, because even though wearing baggy t-shirts was way better than a blouse, it still felt wierd xD

And finally, I came out for the first time yesterday to a friend of mine in the school's LGBT club and told him I was FtM trans x3. I mean I KINDA came out to all of them becuase we announce pronouns at the beginning of the meeting (since a lot of them change frequently) and instead of saying they/them pronouns (which I was using before) I said he/him

I got to put Connor on my name tag at a tea party for my course's department yesterday. My teachers didn't notice, or didn't ask if they did, but my friends were cool with it and changed my name and pronouns immediately (after asking to be sure it was right) and the first years we, as third years, were introduced to to tell them about the course just called me Connor right away. It was so cool.

I got to use my chosen name in public for the first time! Sure it was just at the therapist's clinic, but still.

I don't know what to think, but I got a pair of male trousers at cadets last night, they were out of female. I felt different, but in a good way. Still feels strange not to wear what fits my curves, but technically I still have to wear the pants past my hips since its at a strange waist size.

Legally changing my name. I'm going in to court in a couple weeks and then it will all be official. Going to see a gender therapist too so I can get referral letters to change my name with the DMV and any future stuff- plus talking to someone is always good. All in all, been a pretty good day as far as actual progress. If all goes well I should have a male ID soon.

Nice! I heard legal paperwork is a huge pain but it must be worth it.

I just got my first Underworks binder from Amazon today and it fits! It actually does give me more confidence, and a better idea of what a flat chest will look like.

Thanks. Oh it's definitely worth it. It is a little confusing figuring out what to do (because it varies from county to county and state to state) but I'm glad to finally be getting this done.

Congrats about your binder too. Reminds me of when I got my first one (Underworks too). Bet it's already making a difference.

Yeah, it was a literal pain trying to get it off but honestly I don't care, it already makes me feel better. No more having to adjust my shirt and fidget constantly. I can imagine that top surgery will be even better, when I finally get it done. It makes several years of wait not seem as frustrating.

I recently attended a weekend-long LARP (Live Action Role Play) and found total acceptance from both the organisers and the players. I was able to use male bathroom facilities and from the players I was simply viewed as male. Asking pronouns was part of asking someone's name within this particular community .

I've stopped seeking validation of others if I pass lately.
