I feel you on that bro. My boots I ordered a week past took a long time. It was delayed til AFTER I got back from my trip I wanted to wear them. I had to intercept it at the local post office. At least I got to wear them to nyc.

    Patience.

I went into the male changing room to try on clothes for the first time ever! (Nothing ever fits me but that was still exciting.)

I was having a discussion with my dad, who is against transgenderism. I told him that there were high suicide rates in the trans community, and that there is no effective form of reparative therapy. I asked what he thought the best solution was. He froze for half a minute staring at the TV screen before finally saying, "I don't know. I need to look into it more."

It's a long shot, but I really hope this is the first step toward a change of mind for him. He admitted that he didn't know. Maybe there's hope for a future where I'm not estranged from my parents?

I went out yesterday for dinner and the woman that was serving us called me "Sir", she was a bit frantic after that and tried to "fix" it(apparently, she thought she had made a mistake). I just interrupted her from "fixing" it with a rather loud "Uhhhh" as I was looking over the menu again. Not much of a victory but it still felt pretty good finally being referred to as "sir".

I got a letter from my therapist to support getting top surgery. Now I just have to schedule an appointment to talk to the surgin. I still can't believe this might actually happen. I am so excited and terrified at the same time.

At a pizza shop thing my mom and I stopped by in, a couple days ago, when it was our turn to order, the guy said, "Can I get'cha ladies anything?"

I was like, don't take it back, don't take it back, don't take it back , and then he was like, "Oh, I'm sorry, that's a boy. Yeah, sorry, long hair. So much more than mine, haha *gestures to bald head*"

But yeah, that was from my front, and I already knew I could "pass" from behind from a previous encounter, so... maybe there is hope... <3

Wore womans jeans in my cities aquarium, I went with some of my family. I didn't feel out of place, but I did look very androgynous in jeans and a tshirt.

Your dad sounds like my mom. She basically put on her piss pants and made me go in the closet today for my birthday. But just yesterday my dad brother and his girlfriend all saw me and went out. My mom told my dad she needs to talk to people. That's at least a start sis. Take what you can.

My clothes that I ordered finally arrived and the shirt I picked out turned out to be a genius pick just as I had hoped. The figure, pleats at the hips and the wide sleeves takes all my masculine features and hides them quite well.

Straight up walked into the woman's changing room. Sign outside said "NO MEN ALLOWED". Nervous but the woman there counted my items and said here you go miss.

I came out. Can I put anything back hun?

The woman at the front desk said I can help you at checkout 2. She then complimented me on my eyes saying they were beautiful. She was kind of cute too in a gender neutral alternative hippy way.

Anyways I'd say it was one of my best passing days ever.

Two guy shirts I ordered just got here from Amazon. W00t! I (sadly...) still don't fully pass, but it's still a great step. The more clothes, the better; they are a major part of it. Even if I don't quite pass to everyone, it's a way of letting people know I don't identify as a female or don't want to be seen as one, despite the fact that I'm not out yet either.

I got my hair done today and I got so many compliments which was great.

I also mailed off the forms to legally change my gender on my birth certificate which is so awesome. The best part is that my step mother works at the post office so she's the one I saw to get it stamped and ready to go. Sharing that moment with family made it even extra special.

Something unrelated to anything LGBT is that I did a whole lot of chores today as well which made me feel really productive!
