So I finally got up the courage to ask a girl I like at work out on a date. I kind of feel like a chicken because I did it over Facebook. She hasn't replied yet and no I am not out to her. But if it gets to that point I feel like I could tell her. I really hope she says yes because I have wanted to ask her for over a year

I worked up the courage to wear my binder in public for the first time and no one said anything or took a second glance (that I seen), and it felt awesome. People still called me by female pronouns and such, but just taking baby steps right now til I work up the rest of the courage to come out completely.

I just started rehearsals for a theatre production, and after auditions, I came out as trans to the director. (I had auditioned for a male role, but she hadn't suspected anything because I don't pass.)

But now I'm singing with the guys, I've been guaranteed a male role, and everyone there is calling me by my preferred name! It's always rad to find a safe, accepting place.

Finally posted some pics of my dolls, and me. First time doing that on a forum. Gives me a massive confidence boost.

My friend and I went to a fair about saving the environment and decided to go on these bicycle things which you pedal and see who can create the most energy. The guy running it asked our names to put on the scoreboard and my friend said, "Our names are Jed and Wolfgang", using my preferred name and pronouns throughout the whole day! (I had only come out to him by text the day before)

What's more, I beat him on the bikes so I'm pretty chuffed about that as well

I'm planning to have someone print all the forms I need to have my birth certificate fixed. Money was always a silly excuse, I'm doing it even if I go in debt because it'll make me happy.

I went out to a meet and greet last evening and introduced myself as Corbin, even got a name-tag. Having people call me Corbin all evening felt really good. It was at a gay bar and a gentleman bought me a drink, while others used feminine pronouns. I'm not too bothered by the pronoun thing right now. I actually liked that I did not obviously fall into one of the binary genders.(!)

I have really wanted to be more social for a long time now, and have finally taken a few steps forward. I have gone out twice for drinks with a makeup artist friend, and actually went to an open house at a local support/social group I've been meaning to check out for a while. It felt nice, and right, and really very liberating! I'm really quite comfortable in public once I'm out, it's everything that goes into getting out that is difficult.

I went into the city today (not wearing my binder or really trying to pass), and I was waiting for one of the employees, and a woman was with her kids also waiting and says to one of her kids "give the guy some room" (since he was standing right next to me, which for what it's worth didn't bother me at all). It was nice to know that even when I'm not really trying to pass I can still pass.
I did get some butterflies in my stomach when she did call me a guy but it felt awesome just knowing I can pass as a guy.

A photographer stopped me outside of a store in new york city and asked to take my picture because I am absolutely radiant.

    Pictures to follow.

Also I went to the lgbt center in nyc. Omg that's like the mecca for us. So warm and inviting. Had some girl say I looked like the very definition of beauty.

Damn... big smile on my face all day.

Partner and I found an FTM group downtown. Since it's also open to anyone who identifies as male, figure we'll give it a shot. It's the first sign of an actual trans community down here.

I was talking with another trans friend recently and he asked me how I get my voice so deep and if I could teach him, which just made my day

Also, I was talking to a friend and mentioned that it's far too hot to bind right now and she said "not that I'm staring at your chest, but I'd never know"

Glad people kept it going during my hiatus.
