I just passed as male for the first time

I was getting my lunch from the italian market, I even had my purse with me. The cashier was about to help the woman standing in front of me, she had come in after me, and she corrected him, "oh no, its the young man there who is next."

Oh my god, I just finished the email that I'm gonna send to my parents...
I'm so nervous; I have it open right now as a draft, and right before I leave for school in an hour I'm going to send it.

Honestly, I have no clue how they're going to react, but this is finally it!

Also, hopefully I can see my councilor today in school because she is supposed to be back today, so I really hope she can see me cause I need to relieve some stress with her and such.

It was only my 3rd session, but I talked to my therapist about getting on T today! She's going to start drafting her letter and I just have to talk to my Dr and see if they are willing to start me and find a place that will if they won't. I'm psyched.... I know it'll still be a good couple months or more (depending on the Dr) before I start, but it's a step and one I desperately needed.

Within the past week, I have had several people that called where I work ask if I were male or female. Not yet had the courage to give the right answer yet, though. Take that, testosterone-induced vocal cords.

    I came out!
My parents are totally cool with it, and my dad is still misgendering me a bit, but I just have to like, grunt and he realizes and corrects himself.

My mom talked to me and we talked about options in school, and she is already completely fine with me coming out to my school in May. She also already bought a book about transgender youth and is reading the articles I sent her!

They were really positive and calm, and they didn't freak out or question me at all.

The only obstacles I can think of is them misgendering me and taking a while to get used to the name Ashton, but if I correct them, they'll eventually get it!

I'm so happy and relieved that they're supportive and it feels great that I can talk to them about this now! It will also be easier for me to buy boy's clothing and possibly get more binders now.

I feel really happy today for what seems like the first time in a really long while!
I've been struggling to accept my fluidity for a while but today I just feel really refreshed and actually motivated to do stuff! I want to play music, and for what seems like the first time in forever I'm actually motivated to clean my room! I just feel really happy and refreshed and I think it might be because I'm actually starting to accept myself. I haven't felt this at ease for a really long time and it feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off of my shoulders and I don't have to worry about anything anymore. I don't know how long this feeling is going to last but for now I'm just happy that it's here at all.
