Are you one of those people who finds snowfall and rain totals to be interesting? The more the better?

For example, this Pineapple Express that's happening in California, is supposed to bring ten inches (25.4 cm) of rain along with 2 feet of snow (60.96 cm) in the Sierra Nevadas.

I'm like "bring it on!" since they need the water. Too much drought has occurred and a lot of crops come from the Central Valley, so more rain and snow is a blessing.

The more the merrier - within reason. 10 inches of rain is insane though - but I guess they need it badly.

I dislike rain, but like snow. Usually.

I like snow. I like storms, but I'm indifferent to normal rain.

I love them both! Or rather, I like watching them both from my window. Rain inspires me to write and snow inspires me to play guitar.

I used to really enjoy both, but snow usually leaves me stranded. Still love a good rainstorm though.

Considering that I'm a weather nerd, yep. The more extreme the weather, the better.

I hate them both. Like, today I had to walk through heavy rain to the metro, and it was horrible.

Snow is the lesser of the two evils and it looks pretty, but it's a horror to walk or cycle through.

    Summer rain is my favourite.

I like the sight of the first snow of the winter, but not when it gets all slushy and starts to disappear. Then I just want rid of it.

Do I enjoy studying rain/snow? Yes and wind. Do I enjoy experiencing them? No, especially snow more than a flurry. I can appreciate a cool rain shower on a hot day though because it means a cold front is moving through and usually brings 2-3 days+ of cooler temps. Yes, I am a weather geek as well.

Rain is by far my favorite form of precipitation. I especially love thunder storms that get close enough that you can *feel* the thunder in the walls. I like snow too, because it brings colder weather, but I don't like to be out in it - everything is much too bright (snow glare is EVIL!).

Eventually I will move to someplace that is nice and gloomy and rainy all the time.

Totals and amounts I find dull.

I completely love the rain, some of my friends find me weird because when it rains they want to stay in but I love going for a walk in the rain with my earphones in listening to good music and enjoying the weather. I love the feel of it, the look of it everything and one day I would really like to kiss in the rain

I'm not a fan of snow, not really. I love it for the first couple of weeks, I hate walking in it and I hate the cold, but I like the activities you can do in the snow..

    I like both.
I actually live in Cali and our school was shut down today and possibly tomorrow due to flooding. We've gotten abut 6-8 inches already... :/ guess i might be swimming to school tomorrow

We don't get snowfall where I live.

But we have a monsoon season where it rains a lot for around two or three months at a stretch. I like the rain in itself. But it makes the climate really irritating. It increases the humidity like anything, we often have 90%+ relative humidity during monsoon. And because the air is so moist it gets into wooden things and makes them swell up slightly... so doors don't always shut properly, piano keys get stuck to each other... things like that. It gets annoying. And with rain comes mosquitoes, because the drainage system here isn't very efficient and easily gets clogged, so there are lots of stagnant water pools everywhere which is mosquito heaven. And often it floods... it can get higher than knee deep in some places.

But I do like the rain itself. The feel of a windy rainstorm is lovely. And monsoon comes right after summer, which is the worst season in the year because of the heat. So initially everyone loves it

I do find snowfall and rain totals to be interesting. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: The same for maximum, average and minimum temperatures. But I don't like much rain (and I don't like snow when I have to go through it). :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

But some rain is convenient for the plants and such of course. =)

I love rain! the more the merrier as long as it stops short of a flood. I hate snow. When the snow accumulation reaches inches and feet it makes me want to scream. I spend all winter irritated and wondering why I stay in Indiana.

I do find it interesting when the news compares how this year's snow or rain totals compare to years previous. They typically do it month by month with a total at the end of the season.
