    For me it's Dragon Age: Inquisition. It caught me by surprise, i thought it was gonna be some sort of open world Elder Scrolls wannabe, and since Bioware doesn't really have a lot of experience with it, i figured it's gonna be a bit too much for them to do right. Boy, was i wrong, best game i played the whole year, hands down.

    That I PLAYED just this year: Mass Effect (the first one). It actually released in 2007-ish? But I've never played it until recently and I really enjoyed the ride.

    That came OUT this year: I haven't played any of the recent releases, so I'll go with Kirby Triple Deluxe. Got it in May and finished it quickly; I haven't played Kirby in years so it was great nostalgia.

    Just bring tissues for 3rd one's first run. You will cry... a lot. :icon_bigg

    Oh and if you can afford, get Citadel DLC. For me it is the crowning moment and best finish to the series.

    2014 has been a drought of a year in videogames for me, nothing that's come out lately save for Far Cry 4 has really captured my interest.

    Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for me, though I feel it has been a fairly shit year for gaming. It's especially noticeable to me as last year was such a good one. Next year, however, looks like it could surpass that. With Xenoblade X, Zelda, FFXV, Persona 5 and more, I'm sure I'll be more enthusiastic about this kind of thread next year.

    Important to note is that I haven't played Smash Bros Wii U yet (getting it for christmas) and I'm not counting ports otherwise Kingdom Hearts 2.5 would be my favourite in a heartbeat.

    Same here! I was actually very anxious when it released because of how badly EA botched up DA2, but it turned out to be the best game I've played since DA:O :lol:

    Left Behind if you count DLC, if not, The Wolf Among Us. Though Once I play Far Cry 4, that'll probably be my favorite.

    Europa universallis 4 is an awesome game, but I prefer Crusader Kings II. However as for best game I played this year I would have to say XCOM: Enemy Within, with Rimworld at a close second. Next year is looking like probably either Rimworld or Mordheim depending on how much they are updated by the developers.
