In small amounts, it's not a bad thing. As everything else though, if you indulge in it too much, it can become quite troublesome. Obviously this is highly dependant on what exactly you are feeling nostalgic about.

I think it's a cancer in the Entertainment Industry that more often than not acts as a shackle, preventing it from ever moving forward in any meaningful way or straying too far from what is known to work. The antithesis of originality basically, which is something I could never stand behind.

On a completely personal level tho, nah it's fine.

I like nostalgia. It's certainly better than regret. In fact, I'm experiencing some nostalgia right now, preparing a bus map of my old town for my students! I hated this city while I lived there but now I'm like "oh the memories~"

Nostalgia is very good. It keeps you grounded to that which you experienced and hold dear. I think the problem is that too much nostalgia or nostalgia combined with depression or with heaven knows what, will lead to melancholy, which aint cool! Melancholy can be short lived or long but either way I'd embrace nostalgia! I wouldn't want to be so nostalgic though that it made me live too much in the past and not growing and moving forward. As a general concept I believe it is always best to move confidently into the future!

The Nostalgia Critic would tend to say, it's not such a good thing, LOL.

    Nostalgia is fun.
In the entertainment industry, sometimes people rely on it too much. But in the right amounts, I love it.

Too much nostalgia can make you feel depressed.

    Perfect! XD

It depends though, I don't think its bad really, but it can cloud your judgement somewhat. Sometimes you remember things being better than they actually were or get annoyed at a movie remake because even though its good its not the same as the original! (Rarely the case with remakes lately but still! xD)

*whistling* Come to me, my melancholy baby...Cuddle up and don't be blue...All your fears are foolish fancies, maybe...

Nostalgia? Only for music and films.

Ah, I quite like nostalgia in small amounts. It's usually about some childhood cartoons, animes and games though. Good times!

    No!
It depends on what it is and how far you take it. Like I sometimes get nostalgic over 90's video games, but it doesn't mean I think modern stuff is bad

Depends on the type and when it occurs but it's really up to personal preference.

I'm very nostalgic in some situations so I don't see why it should be bad at all:slight_smile:
