I'm going to get that tattoo. It's been two years and I haven't changed my mind even a little bit about wanting it so I think it's time. I'll take a printout of what I want to the guy tomorrow and see if I can get an appointment for next week.

I am so sick of this fortune cookies. No matter how you interpret it; it is not favorable. It is either speaking on my future spouse and essentially claiming that I might not marry for half a century but at least then we will live happily ever after. Or this is meant to be taken literally and this was meant for someone who already had a spouse; which I would then need to know the name of the person who wrote this fortunate so that I can find them on the streets because that would just be disrespectful.

 

There's too much straight sex in every episode of The 100. I don't like that.

 

Even several weeks after leaving my first placement, I still end up reduced to tears just by thinking about it. That's how much emotional pain was inflicted on me while I was there.

I also feel as though the world is determined not to give me a chance. It keeps tantalising me with the idea of good things happening, and then taking them away. For example, I have such a good mentor at this school, who has made such a difference to how I feel about teaching, but I only get her until the end of this term and then she goes on maternity leave. Why do I never get to keep the good things?

I also miss the girl I love. I'll be seeing her soon, but lately she's been busy and hasn't had time to write much. She's told me so, but I still miss her. And I'm desperately scared that something will happen that will cause next week not to happen. Seriously, that would wreck me. I can't go through that again, not after it happened last time.

I think I'm weirdly emotional tonight.

 

Sooo...I am floored right now. There is this group that is trying to help gay and bi men as well as trans. women across Michigan, and they are meeting at city hall right across from the street where I live to have a 3 hour town hall next Monday. I live in one of the most homophobic cities in the county and probably the state of Michigan. I must be dreaming, this is not real. I am not happy that they are seemingly excluding bi and gay women as well as trans men, but this should be an extremely fascinating dynamic playing out. I never thought such an event could ever happen here. Please don't pinch me.
