This thread is a roller coaster of joy and emotionally crippling sadness.

I don't know what to feel.

Good News, Bad News. It was an eventful Tuesday:

Bad News is... J and I won't be hanging out anymore. Had our talk, and it was decided, it is best not to be around one another. Also, I can tell, she wants somebody who can love her, like I am unable to in this body. I'm not sure why Life keeps prodding at me like this, as if I'm supposed to just snap and go on a blazing rampage, but the savoring of what good I do have in this world, maintains a sense of calm.

Good News is... the newspaper called me earlier today. They wanted to know if I could write an article for their opinion section. I, sensing opportunity told them, not only would I write an article for their opinion section, but I would write two, in the event they needed something extra, which sparked this exchange:

Director: That's fine, but what makes you think we'll use both of your pieces?
Me: Because I really want this job, so you know I'll put in my best effort, unlike somebody with the complacent comfort of already having this job.

Needless to say, he was impressed. I could tell by the "Mm" sound he made, hearing that. It wasn't dismissive, it was awe.

Almost there. They've stopped resisting, they're starting to give way now...

That's what someone says when they're trying to get their dog to swallow a pill.
Are you forcing your employment down the throat of this company?

If you are, tickle it's throat and it will swallow. :icon_wink

    LOL.

It's just encouraging talk, really. If I don't acknowledge my efforts, then I can sort of slip into auto-pilot.

Still, I suppose you could say I am forcing myself, but tenacity is often times rewarded in the employment world. It's how I've obtained almost every other job I've ever had. It made me stand out, which made it hard to turn me away, because people will believe an enthusiasm to work is easily exploitable or means less trouble.

Basically, would you hire the person who seemed indifferent, who could be a risk for not sticking around to see the job through, or would you hire somebody who made this position seem like, it was all that mattered, who could be a possible source to utilize and, at worst, exploit for the company's gain?

Business-like minds opt for the latter. At least in my experiences, and because of applying this to my approach, I have rarely failed in obtaining a job I want. You don't just sell yourself as an asset to the company, because it leaves discretion to the company, and leaves them with the power. You have to sell yourself as a necessity, because it pushes them towards obligating your hiring, and leaving you with the power.

And to think, I've failed Psychology multiple times, LOL.

I'm deciding whether or not to post a selfie for a Selfie Week event (Friday is LGBT Pride Selfie day). I feel like it would support the cause, but it would so compromise my privacy, having my face on the internet. I'm torn.

Good news: FINALLY got a doctor! Appointment will be scheduled tomorrow, and the hospital should have my medical records in, by now.

Bad news: I'm officially diagnosed with General anxiety disorder (as if that were a surprise). So, Thursday will have discussion about meds probably. I've got names of psychiatrists, so that's a step.

Unfortunately, I don't think I am strong enough to deal with this anymore. I can't remember a time that I've cried so hard and so easily over something I shouldn't even be upset over.

Is it my fault? I should have asked, but there's no going back. I just don't know what to do.

I guess I should just try to go back to sleep and let myself do whatever. Maybe it'll be better in the morning.

    Good night/day, EC.

Is it strange that I am getting more and more worried about coming out? The letter has been written for a week, planning on delivering it on Easter for them to read after everyone has left.....
