You have plenty of time, no rush to come out. That said, as you have read the forums, a lot of us have had to deal with and overcome the same homophobic concerns you have. Rest assure, if you choose to, you can put them in the the right place within your head and get comfortable as a result. Your on a journey, and EC is a great place to help express yourself and hear from others about their own journeys, For me, I could not be happier having come out. I feel totally complete as a result.
