Anyone here not from the us? Why you join EC? How is the lgbt community in ur place? Mine sucks so bad since i like different things so i got here...
You know, there is quite a lot of planet outside the US... I currently live in the UK. There is an LGBT community in the city I live in, but its boring, and I'm not a part of it. I joined EC because at the time, I needed a bit of support. Now, I just like hanging around, and giving it to others.
Yup. I don't know what the LGBT community is like here - never really sought to be a part of it. I joined here because I thought it looked interesting at the time.
Canada ride: I have no idea what the Community is like here. And I joined because EC kept popping up when I googled by problems
I live in Canada, and where I live there is an active LGBT community. The city has a few support and social groups, and a gay bar; though I'm not part of any group at the moment. I used to attend meetings of one support/social group but after the format for the meetings was changed, I didn't enjoy it as much anymore. I joined EC because I needed support.
I'm not from the US, The LGBT Commmunity here is good from what I know and should be getting a lot better within the next year. I Joined because I was having some trouble and needed some help, and definitely got it.
Hi there. Well, I joined EC to get in touch with my sexuality and also to see other fellow LGBT. Brazil is, like the US, very big and diverse, and so there are mixed opinions towards LGBT rights. Latest polls suggest that around 53% is against same-sex marriage, but around 66% believes homosexuality should be accepted. However, The LGBT community is very active (although I don't actively participate in it), especially in my city. We have one of the biggest (or the biggest) gay parades and a few neighborhoods who are known as meeting places for LGBT, with bars and shops who cater to this specific public. In the last decade, our media has also supported LGBT issues, with the exception of religious TV and radio stations.
No there isn't. It's all a scheme to trap the Americans. Of course there is. I joined EC because i wanted a place where people understood me. I am from the UK, and LGBT issues aren't too much of a problem where i live, it was more for self-guidance and personal support more than support for coping with scary things such as being beaten etc.
I'm from a smaller town in Sweden. There's no LGBT+ community and I don't know anyone who's out. I joined EC because I needed a place where I could discuss my feelings more openly, and feel less alone.
well I'm from an island in the carribean and I never see or hear about the lgbt community there but people there hide more i'd say (except in carnival)... but in paris the lgbt community is very active, i went to the lgbt center people were so great!!there are events, marchs it's great! and if i'm here it's because i've read an article which mentionned this website and i liked it...
Canada. Not exactly sure about groups here. But I am thinking about looking into it. I joined here first since I am more comfortable opening up online then in person...
No, outside of the US there are no human beings. We are the one nation to house sentient life, and any other nation is either a setup of cardboard standups and photoshop, or they're communists (obviously not human)
Well, I'm from Portugal and LGBT community here is pretty non-existing. Or it's really well-hidden... :rolle:
I am from Australia and I just joined cause I needed some support and it looked like a really nice place to be and I think it has been the best decision I have ever made.
Im from New Zealand ^.^ I'm pretty involved in the LGBT community here, help out at the local gay club, attend a social/support group.. Theres another group starting soon, for trans folk, and plenty of resources and support. A lot of my friends are LGBT as well. I joined here because it kept popping up in Google searches, and I needed a place to talk about stuff, especially before I was out.
