Palm trees. I've always adored them, especially the way they look during sunsets.

The apple tree. There's one growing by the horses and chickens and it's been chewed on, bent over the fence and knocked over by a bear and it still grows well. It's also where the chickens we keep as pets are burried.

Well, I am *rather* fond of the tree in my avatar.

But I think you meant "favorite tree *type*"...so I'll have to go with maples. I love maple trees...I love their shapes, the shapes of their leaves, the way they color in the Fall, the taste of the sap, how big they get, the rhinoceros-nose/helicopter seeds (I used to love to play with those when I was young...I still do the helicopter thing sometimes). Just overall wonderful trees!

Mines probably the willow tree because it was the first tree I could identify because I used to cut them on Runescape so much :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Though they can grow just about anywhere, even if not indigenous ...

    Favorite trees:

At first blush, I'd say evergreens - anything from luxuriant hemlock, found in moister climates, to more somber Ponderosa pine, found in drier climates.

I'd go on to add maples, which morph into beautiful colors, and I'd add aspens, which turn into some beautiful shades of yellow in fall and are found among the evergreens at higher elevations in drier climate zones, such as CO, UT, NV, and CA.

I especially love magnolia trees, willows, and pines, but really all trees have a measure of beauty or provide some kind of benefit (such as fruit trees), so basically I just love trees in general.

Specifically, an Eastern White Pine. I have some nice memories associated with these trees.

I also think they're good looking trees.
