Well I'm predominately right-handed, but I am ambidextrous when it comes to several sports and activities such as pool, tennis, and badminton. I can write (badly) with my left hand as well. Part of this stems from my playing the French Horn which is played left-handed I think.
Wasn't there a thread about the exact same topic a while ago? Still ambidextrous. I suppose I'm bi in pretty much every way possible.
Left handed with a hint of ambidextrous. I play several sports right handed but write and do most other things with my left.
Ambidextrous. I had to keep switching hands to write in school. It was the only way to keep up with everyone else! My hand hurts like a bitch because I don't grip pencils correctly or something like that. That's when I realised anyone that has two hands can eventually learn to use both equally well. If I can do it, so can most people! I can play Doom with my feet! Of course, that would be on "I am a wimp" or "Not too rough" xD There are people that play video games blind and others that play two characters at once. You gotta believe in yourself and you'll be amazed at what is possible.
Righty. As far as I know "ambidextrous" means your hands are more or less interchangeable, so the fact that I wash myself in the shower with my left hand doesn't mean I'm ambidextrous when I do everything else with my right.
For me, the hands are always interchangeable, except when writing, but I'm working on that. I never learnt how to write with my left hand. I'm becoming better at it now. =)
Lefty!!! My right hand is only useful to things that I kind of need to use it or else. Example: using the computer mouse and typing. I'm not going to change the settings just to use a mouse, the form of it isn't even made to adjust to the left hand! Typing, who will type with just one hand (excusing those that are learning) when you can use both and finish way faster.
Right handed. Just like the joke, there's only one thing I do with my left hand. I've tried to use my left hand for routine tasks, just to experiment, and it doesn't seem to work out too well. I'm sort of wowed at how many left handed people have been polled so far.
I backtracked through the threads and didn't see one. I coulda missed it though. I am pretty blind :icon_razz I'm pretty surprised too. I hardly know any other lefties. Most people look at me like I'm a unicorn or something when I write with my left hand.
Showering, brushing my teeth, eating, and lifting, I can use both hands. No problem. Writing or drawing, I am right-handed. Interestingly, when I play baseball/softball, I bat left-handed. I cannot, for the life of me, bat right-handed -- at least in an acceptable manner.
