Dogs. I don't want to be greeted with a death glare.

    Dogs!!
They tend to be loyal and generally happy to see you.
Most cats have a superiority complex.

I really love both but I prefer dogs (one reason being I'm allergic to cats so snuggling them is a bad experience for me lol)

I like little kittens but I prefer dogs if I was going to have a pet.

Cats. They're funny and cute and they (usually) use the litter box so you don't have to clean up after them. I could be biased since I've grown up with cats though. I just find them really funny and they have a lot of personality. I do like dogs a lot though just not as much

I've always been a bit (alot) of a cat person, but I love dogs just as much! And all other creatures!
    I just love animals. <3

    I like both.

For dog breeds, I like Huskies, Corgis, German Shepherds, Bull Terriers, and Doberman Pinschers.

For cats, I like short-haired. Bonus points if it is an Orange Tabby cat.

The two are about equal, in terms of pros and cons, but I have to give the slight edge to cats. A cat will take care of itself, with or without you, and will actually come to appreciate you. A dog can do this, but a dog's love tends to feel more conditional. Besides, I like having a cat in my lap to pet, because it's awesome to feel like a James Bond villain.

    But... I like both...

I've always planned to have a Boston Terrier named Ivan the Terrier. I'm still working on the cat name.

I love them both but I'd have to say the felines hold more of my affection, I was raised with cats (one of whom behaved more like a dog however). They have my respect for being able to do as they please rather than being subservient. One thing that always gets to me is you see these horrible pictures of abused dogs in ads for animal welfare charities when they've been starved, neglected, kicked, used as ashtrays for some lowlife to put their cigarettes out on and still despite everything they still obey the human that does this to them. Much as their loving nature is endearing when deserved I do sort of wish they would stand up for themselves more when it's not. If someone tries to do that to a cat they can expect their face scratched off shortly followed by the cat rightly doing a disappearing act to re-home themselves.

Dogs, obviously... since cats are evil little bastards! (again, excluding neko boys!)

But on a side note, why not foxes?! It's like, they are as fabulous as cats and as loyal as dogs so it's win/win!

Cats. They're easier to take care of.
