    So I just read through the thread and the general consensus is that no one knows lol, cool!

    I just wanted to get everyone else's opinion on this as I ask myself this question so much and I don't have an answer for it at all.

    In Japanese culture, the number 42 is considered unlucky because the numerals when pronounced separately—"shi ni" (four two)—sound like the phrase, "unto death".
