Also, Anne Of Green Gables and Emily Of New Moon. Both by L.M. Montgomery.

Same, I'm not into book series much at all, I like stand alone novels better, and I've recently wandered away from the YA section at the library. But I still love LOTR, Harry Potter and Inkheart.

My top three (icant pick just one) are (not in this order) harry potter, percy jackson, and the heroes of olympus. Ive kinda strayed from young adult though, as its getting way to easy for me. Now im more into horror science fiction adult, like scott sigler

TAMORA PIERCE!!! Yes. I cannot tell you how many times I've read The Lioness Quartet. It is simply the most satisfying series I have ever read* (*that isn't canonical).

Meg Cabot's Abandon series (a present-day Tale of Persephone inspiried series, very good).

I love Harry Potter, I recommend Harry Potter but...itreallyisn'twellwritten and I don't like the character development (with the exception of Snape and Dumbledore in the 7th book). Also, never read that bloody epilogue.

Although not technically a series, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has fabulous novellas all set in the same universe. A universe with sexy vampires, werewolves, and witches oh my! Shattered Mirror is my favourite.

Not sure if it's classed as young adult, but I read them when I was a young adult.

The Riftwar Saga by Raymond E. Feist
The Conclave of Shadows by Raymond E. Feist.
The Empire Trilogy by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts.

Also, His Dark Materials, Inheritance and Harry Potter ... but they've already been said.
