I love rain and thunderstorms. Rain I find is very therapeutic and relaxing, and I love thunder and lightning because I just find it exciting : P

Yes I love it! Definitely the heavier the better. With low rumbling thunder. I like to hear the rain louder than the thunder.

I absolutely love thunder and lightening and the heavy rain that comes down, from the first sensation of realising that something feels different, to the quietness of the animals, to the smell and the stillness that happens at times and then the almighty sounds of the thunder and the brightness and energy of the lightning. They have a real impact on me on a primal level. UK here I wish we had more, (obviously as long as no one gets hurt)

I love thunderstorms. We live in a high rise overlooking a lake and I love when you can see storms roll in over the lake, the more dramatic the better. We often keep the blinds closed--we are on the corner of the building with floor to ceiling windows all around and so it can get really bright and hot during the day if we don't. At the first sound of thunder we both run around and open all the blinds.

I love thunderstorms. But I live in the wrong country for good ones! The storms in the US are just a different league to the ones we get over here. I'm also a big fan of heavy rain, but I can't stand days where it is just grey and dull.

I love them! Late summer/early fall is my favorite time of year mostly because that's when my area has thunderstorms

I like thunderstorms even though they are scary. They are also exciting.

One time, I went running out in the rain. I get absolutely soaked for 5 miles. So that was fun too.

I love storms. Best ones i ever witnessed were when i lived in Sydney. You knew it was going to be a good one when the clouds turned green.

One time when I was little, there was a lightning discharge on an object close by--probably a utility poll on our block. We had like four big panes of window glass in our dining room, and when it struck, everything I could see turned green. It frightened me so much I was reduced to uncontrollable sobs. :frowning2: And I still think lightning is scary, and thunder scares me too. But they are both fascinating and wonderful.

Mostly I love the rain that tends to follow and how wonderful things smell after that. So life-giving. <3

    That.

I like thunderstorms, in general. But, sometimes, they get pretty bad with the winds... and I don't like twig pick up duty, LOL.

I agree with you! If I could control the weather, I'd just want those dark green rain bands on the weather radar. The lightning and thunder are a bit much though :/.

Spring rain is my favourite. I like sitting under the pergola in my garden when it's raining, but it's far too cold to do so in winter. Even better, summer rain in Finland. Sitting in a summer cottage while it rains is the most beautifully calm experience I've ever had.

I hate subtropical rain, though. It's always so heavy, and the rain doesn't cool things down. It just makes it worse.

Well living over half my life in a city which goes on drought periods, I like it when it rains but not to the point to cause floodings -which we had-. I do like thunderstorms, I like the lightning but I have a fear the light with hit my window and break the glass into pieces, might be because once the light did hit the building where I lived in and it broke most electrodomestics in the building.

I mean, it's going to be 98 F here tomorrow. Any thunderstorm that we get will knock the temperature down to somewhere in the 72-78 F range. That's certainly refreshing .
