That's basicly the only fear I have.

Most of these fears seem to have very understandable bases:

-The ocean tends to be less than hospitable to people and there are many ways in which it can lead to you being dead.

-Heights can very easily lead to you being dead.

-Roller coasters, certain spiders, and certain snakes can also lead to you being dead.

-Most people probably don't like to feel judged negatively, and if the judgment is negative enough it too can lead to you being dead.

    -Fuck clowns. Nobody likes clowns.

I have a fairly common one, Arachnophobia... but it's like, I have never met anybody more scared of spiders than me...

This last year in my physical science class a pretty nicely-sized spider (I'd say about 3 or 4 inches in diameter leg-span included, yes I am aware there are MUCH bigger... *shivers*) somehow made its way into the room without anybody noticing until it was right behind these two kids in the row behind me. They jumped up and ran across the room. And nobody knew why yet, I thought it was some kind of beetle or something (knowing the biology lab was next door and they were messing w/ bugs I figured maybe one escaped somehow.). But then I saw what it was, screamed bloody murder and hurdled over 3 desks to get to the other side of the room where I started to have a pretty nasty panic attack... I calmed down when I knew it was dead.

I later found out that the bastard was a hobo spider, so... that right there's a huge fuggin' NOPE!

I really cannot handle spiders... like, no, just no. That is the one fear you do NOT want to mess with me on, unless you wanna deal with my ungodly shrieks of terror and the following panic attack...

Oh and wasps. I don't like wasps. At all. Bees are okay though.

Had someone ask me if I was 'particularly afraid of spiders' and I thought he was setting me up for a prank or something. I said "No, not really. I just feel a Kafka-esque loathing of that type of creature." Turns out he wanted me to kill a spider. Sorry spider.

I have a phobia of vomit. Other than that my fears tend to make sense.

I'm probably unreasonably frightened by children in horror movies though.

    Trypanophobia - fear of injections/needles

Emetophobia - fear of vomiting/people vomiting

    Not really uncommon.

Not unusual or strange but I have Acrophobia (fear of heights). Yet I do horseriding, go figure :rolle:

I don't know what it's called but I have a fear of other cars driving the same speed as me on a two-lane road. I just feel trapped. I usually speed up a bit or slow down so we aren't next to each other anymore

Going by things listed here I also have:

Achluophobia - fear of the dark

Acousticophobia - fear of noise (not a fear per se; more like sensitivity to noise)

Aeroacrophobia- Fear of open high places (goes hand-in-hand with fear of heights)

Agoraphobia- Fear of open spaces or of being in crowded, public places like markets. Fear of leaving a safe place. (I hate when I have to be in crowds, it makes me anxious)

Ankylophobia- Fear of immobility of a joint

Arithmophobia- Fear of numbers (I can't stand even numbers, if possible I change it to odd numbers, like the volume on the car radio. Even numbers just makes me uncomfortable. Guess it's more an OCD thing than a true fear)

I also have a fear of having to pronounce difficult words/long words (Ironically called hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia) I'm not even going to TRY to pronounce that word! :rolle:

I'm sure there are many other fears I have but I'm too lazy to read through them all

Is there a term for 'Fear of a bipolar person exploding any random time?' I think I have that one.

I have something like that too, I can't have anything like my radio volume on a number that isn't 5 or 0. It's physically painful. I am very much a control freak, though. I might have OCD.

I have a serious phobia of all birds. It makes life a bit tricky sometimes in the pigeon-infested land that is the UK.

Wasps and bees as well. I've never been stung (which I believe is pretty rare for a 24 year old?) and that seems to make it a lot worse because my imagination runs wild with ideas about how bad the pain will be...

I know the feeling. I don't have a problem with heights, the fear of falling is very deep for me too. Go figure that I love rock climbing. I can't lead it though since the safety rope isn't in place yet.

I also have the fear of a catastrophic tyre failure at triple digit speeds (mph).

Oh my word, yes! KPH for me though but still. Scary thought.

I also have the fear of a wheel coming off around a corner...

I seem to have a phobia of eyes, I don't suppose anyone else has it? lol.

I believe it is called Ommetaphobia. I'm rather terrified of injury/touching eyes both on myself and others. It started when I was about 7, it has actually made me vomit with fear in the past when I've seen injuries to the eye. Even watching other people take out or put in contact lenses scare me. :icon_redf

I also have a phobia of butterflies and moths (I think it's called Mottephobia) and a strong fear (idk if it is a phobia though) of spiders and some crabs... Anything with that kind of proportions freaks me out. With butterflies and moths it is the way they fly.

I sort of do... Had to pull a horrible splinter out of my eye when I was in my apartment alone. Since then.... Eeeuuugh.
