General News Actor Robin Williams has died - indicated to be an apparent suicide

Patch Adams and Bicentennial Man are my two favorite RW movies.

 

This. When people die of most causes, okay. It happens, and we make do. But when somebody commits suicide, it means there was a deep hurt inside them so great that death seemed preferable. It's a sobering tragedy even more so because he was so uncommonly talented and wonderful. I hope he's at peace now.

 

I'm still in shock. Rest in peace, Robin Williams. You will be missed!

 

It truly is a sad day. Robin Williams was one of kind. Grew up on so many of his movies. He also did so much for American military members and veterans.

RIP.

 

It's true, he had children.

He was battling severe depression.

And it was a suicide.

Mrs. Doubtfire is infinite, "she" will live on for ages.

Rest in Peace, Robin.

 

I strongly preferred his dramatic roles (which often carried plenty of humor too)

Very hard to determine whether Dead Poets Society or Patch Adams was better...

lovable, goofy, caring and sensitive to boot

go in peace you master of the emotional elements

 

The fact that so many people are emotionally hurt to this magnitude because of his death is a true testament to how many lives he really touched.

 

My top two favorite comedians are now dead. George Carlin and Robin Williams.

"Death to Smoochy" will never be the same.

One of the most unique and interesting individuals that has ever been...is now gone. He's our modern day Shakespeare or Mozart in the arts, a deep loss for all of us and the generations to come who'll enjoy his contributions to our culture, may he find whatever peace, contentment and happiness he lacked in this world, in the next. It's a tragedy that he took his own life

I grew up on his movies and it's so heart crushing to hear about this. I thought E! was doing a special on celebrity rumors when it came up, but I was taken aback when it wasn't. This reminds me of when Justin (JewWario) passed away earlier this way all too much.

Let's not remember him for his suicide, but for the wonderful way he treated people and té kindness and talent he showed the world. R.I.P. Robin Williams
