Hmmm my friends thought something was off but most of them didn't really suspect anything.

In fact my best friend who I told first though when I said, "We need to talk' that I was gonna confess my love to her & ask her out LOL. But her gaydar didn't even ping for Gok Wan...so yeah!

They say I've become more obvious since coming out.

"Captain, sir. We have a 247 at 0379."
"Good gravy, Biggles. Alert the Air Force and prepare for immediate action!"
"Sir ... the 247 just disappeared."
"But that's impossible, how did it happen?"
"He must have jammed the gaydar, sir."
"Oh dear. .... how did he do so?"
"Looks like he used an SMP then he dipped back below radar."
    "SMP?"
"Straight magnetic pulse, it eludes the stereotype detector and scrambles the signal into assuming the 247 is straight."
"Good gravy .... he must be over Florida by now ...."

    Most people assume I'm straight.

But I think they get suspicious when I continually skirt around the issue of finding a girlfriend. I think some people suspect but they wouldn't say anything.

Somehow, everyone figures it out pretty quickly. I don't even think I'm that obvious...

Straight people tend to assume I am straight until the gay comes up. Gay people can tell I'm gay.

I've had friends tell me they knew I was gay before I did. I've also had women flirt with/hit on me (or so I was told after the fact) and straight guys assume I have a girlfriend or wife in the course of a conversation.

So I'm really not sure. It's not something I generally worry about or pay attention to.

AKTodd -- I don't act like the typical macho Alpha-type guy. So I think that some women assume that I'm asexual.

I came out to a friend in college a couple of days ago... basically, I was wearing a pride bracelet which I made, and she asked me about it, and she seemed like a nice person so I told her I'm lesbian. And she went "are you JOKING? You don't look lesbian at all! I thought you were completely straight!" it was a funny reaction to watch :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Though I think her opinion might have been influenced by the fact that sometimes some girls in my class keep "checking out" other girls as a joke and I never participate in that because I think it's stupid.

I think so; you would have to ask the people who I assume think of me as straight to know for sure. Nobody generally asks such questions, since I am married.

Most of the people I've come out to were surprised, some even needed convincing. I think there's only been one or two times where someone suspected I might be gay, but that probably was due to my heavy hint-dropping.

Same for me lol  I had a girlfriend and I have a reputation as a "playa" (mostly because I tend to bring a lot of lady friends to school dances) so people tend to think I'm straight, but when I came out to some friends they just all had a facepalm moment because it's relatively obvious haha  I do speak with my hands and have a kind of feminine posture and clothing style, but other than that I think I'm under the gaydar in part due to my deep voice, facial hair, and group of straight friends.

    I think so.
When I came out to a friend years ago, he was surprised and kept asking if I really was gay.

No one has questioned me in a while. Parents have never asked. Either people don't care or don't suspect me.
