Sometimes when I am sitting with my folks I will stare deeply at them and repeat in my mind "Mom / Dad, I am gay" and wish they can hear my thoughts. I did it this evening at the dinner table. My mom made a remark that I seem extremely depressed lately (again) and I projected the thought to her - with the idea to say it out loud but alas... Who also does this?
i have heard of this working, you might wanna practice this but this time, i think it was just how you looked or felt that tipped your mother off, they do tend to have intuition
I think they were probably just reading your expression and mannerisms, not your mind, sorry to say. :c
Your mom saying 'you looked depressed whats wrong' is a farcry from her saying ' i know you want to tell me you are gay' . here is a lesson, discard your suspicions of supposed superstition and supernatural incidents as nothing more than an illusion
I mean, your parents have known you your entire life. I think it may be a combination of that, along with the fact that they know how you've grown up. Whom did you hang out? What shows did you watch? What music did you like? How did you generally act, in school and at home (remember, parent teacher conferences, the teachers spill out everything about you). So, they've probably have had a really good idea up to this point. They don't want to say anything perhaps since there's always a possibility of them being wrong. It'd be embarrassing for them to call their child gay/bi whatever and you not be.
There is zero documented evidence to support telepathy despite a fair amount of research into it. Furthermore, human brain anatomy has not apparent mechanism by which to enable telepathy. As such, I remain unconvinced telepathy exists. Happy days
Staring blankly at your mother isn't exactly normal. She can't have known what you were thinking, but she would have definitely found it weird and worrying that you were glaring silently at her. Don't torture yourself saying it in your head. It's not something you can get across just by looking (unless you obviously check out guys in your parents' presence.) If you want to come out, you'll have to come out, not just think about it.
Odds are, she was seeing your expression and deducing things for that. Body language and facial expressions can be quite easily translated into "you seem depressed lately".... As for telepathy, I'll be silent on that matter, I have my own thoughts about that whole topic and many others and its not my place to convince anyone else what I think..
A few occasional, well placed, subtly telling jokes will probably achieve similar results, with a much higher likelihood of success.
