I dig in like mad...listen to music or watch videos that bring it out even more...such a huge relief to let it go

Nom nom nom. A bad habit, I admit, but a habit nonetheless.

I usually put on some music with deep and meaningful lyrics. Or I take a long walk / drive.

I keep myself busy if it's mild sadness. This pays off in the long term.

I'll check out severe and/or persistent sadness. I aim for a 'peaceful' gnostic state. The key is to silence my mind from all other thoughts. I lie on the floor in darkness and silence. I go numb from toes all the way up to head. I slow my breathing right down. I imagine sinking through the floor. I process the pain by thinking about fire and destruction. Anything that forces me to confront it. Then I think about solutions. Sometimes I have an out of body experience and my thinking changes. I see everything is connected and understand the chaos in the universe. My ego returns when I come back to earth. Now at least I feel 'cleansed' and have some clue about how to proceed.

I go play Rumble Pit in Halo 4. I usually kick ass when I am in emotional distress.

I just distract myself and try to forget it.

When someone does something or says something that makes me mad, I honestly put on my headphones take a bath and cry in the tub. I feel that in the bathroom if I cry no one will notice because I would be wet anyways. I kind of get frustrated when I can't process my emotions at myself and then I kind of get to this point where I get so mad for everything and stuff. I remember once I was in class(week of most sexual frustration I'm my LIFE) I dropped my pen in french class I bursted out into tears. I literally ran out of class crying which I don't do! I don't cry in public because I guess, what people think of me and how they perceive me is always important. I need to feel accepted. But when I'm SAD I just plug in my earbuds and drink a frappuccino(yes I keep like three in my refrigerator at all times) when I'm sad I don't cry I just sit and put on a strong front. When I'm in front of people and I get sad I have been called a heartless bitch...... because I know that when I'm sad and in front of people I am a total ass hole /.\ well anyways that's I how I deal.

I usually curl up in bed and cry till I can't cry anymore, then I either listen to music and/or play games on my phone, or I take a nap.

  11. I read or watch something that is completely immersive.
If not that, I rant or write a bunch until I start to feel better.

Or I could talk to my dad. That always helps.

Listen to dramatic songs from operas and musicals and act out the characters as they sing. It's just distraction but it really works.

I also watch a few select movies sometimes. Or else I go running.
