    It hurts
    These tears that won't come
    Dammed by self-hatred
Why am I? What am I? Where do I turn?
    Is there a way out
    That doesn't end with blood
or pills or letting others down?
    Questions, questions, fear. It hurts.

    The Danger Girl

Her hair blows in the wind
Her eyes glow in the dark
    The dogs begin to bark
And the people begin to scream

    Her fingernails are long
Her dress rustles 'round her legs
Humanity is nothing but the very last dregs
    There's something terribly wrong

    My head begins to ache
    I scratch at my skin
    I feel cold again
    The Danger Girl is near

    She searches through the dark
She never takes time to rest
    No breath enters her chest
    What she seeks, no-one knows

Her mind is sharp yet dark
Her life is naught but death
    She steals all their breath
    She should be here soon

    She's coming to find me
    I'm who she needs
    I'll give myself up willingly
    To my Danger Girl

May these tears I shed in waiting
    Lover of boyish charms
    Become a river cascading
That carries you into my arms

    Abandoning pretenses
    My body aches for this
    To drown my burning senses
In the sweetness of your kiss

This is a deeply personal one to me, but I think it's okay to share it now.
    ------------------------
    I’m Here

When you said yes to me that night,
The moon turned down its glow.
    The waves bowed, reverent before
Such richness in the heart of the girl
    Who sampled love.
And as the boy who offered, I’m here.

    When you thought me gone,
Before you knew I couldn’t leave
    Your side so soon,
I thought of you, at home
    Trying hopeless to believe
Yours was not a house so empty.
I cannot give you that life’s thorns or fruits
But without it, still I’m here.

    When stillness weights us
And others flaunt their better things
    My countless, careless steps
    Destroy us like a famine.
But it’s not woeful hordes I face—
A single, quiet child looks up at me.
While I break my back for sowing rocks
In trembling hands waits that empty bowl.
Yet helpless as I seem, for you I’m here.

    When anger blinds
    And doubt consumes
And will to keep on going flies
It is all of us that follows,
    Leaving just a shell behind.
But I just charge into all Hell
And hardship to lead us safely home.
And after we return, I see the peace
Return to you, by knowing that I’m here.

Wrote this when I was 10, not the best.
    ___________
    The darkness closes around me
And my will power begins to give in
I feel hopeless, lost and alone
    Like this will never end.
I want to be saved but I can't
In the darkness I can't find my way.
I'm giving up now it's over, see you later my dear friend.

Hey fun! Ok I'll try writing one

    ------
    Danger Close

    Laniakea
    To your spacious heaven
    Show me the way
    That I may be free
    From the torturous minuscule
    Of my supercluster of sadness.
    Danger close.

    Millennium
    Is the time the photons
    Of my heart
    Took to reach your
    Awaiting ears.
    Entangled no more.
    Danger close.

    Gravitational
    Pull reaching across your vastness
    I find you once again;
    But I've become an exoplanet
    Estranged, unengaged, alien.
In a suit I visit your atmosphere.
    Danger close.

    Anunnaki
    Setting me ablaze no more
    Your creation finds you
    And sees....

No danger. No desire. No destiny.

    You shoot to kill
Ask questions later; then forget to ask questions.

    Hiding under cover
    You've lost another lover
    Fighting to the last man
Is a plan of the damned.

    You remained stifled
    Self-attack with your rifle
    Of shame from a history
    That shall remain a mystery

Your danger is close, but not to me.

    Forever a memory
    Encased in a litany
    Of reasons not to,
Is where the hologram of my heart
    You onced possessed
Will study the hologram of my heart
    You onced possessed
    Will study the hologram recursive...

I took the best of you and found me.
    I am Danger Close
    And I am free.

    Forgiveness
    If my crimes were forgotten,
    If my deeds were wiped clear;
    If my evils were vanquished,
    And my sins were not here;
If my fears and my hatred,
    Were locked up in the depths;
And my thirst for you sated,
By the rain of your tears,
    Would you love me again?
Or would I find that I was merely
    another plaything at your feet?

    Næturljóð (Nocturne)
As surely as the leaves of autumn
Softly land upon a mossy ground
I will find you and caress you.
As the sun living its final stage
Shall engulf the earth in yearning flame
I will find you and embrace you.
As surely as a moth is drawn
To the orbit of flickering bulbs
    While the dust motes bathe
In the rays of a celestial dance
Swirling in mirth and raucous joy
I will find you and embrace you.
As the dawn returns the light of day
To keep the sacred night at bay
I will find you and caress you.
Desert petals poised to spring alive
At the soundless beams of the moon so lithe
Shall perfume the air with languid myrrh
    And awaken all things vespertine.
As such shall be the night that I
Shall lure my love into the depths entwined
Cocooned and cloaked in silken-silver yarn
A breath reserved for only you to find:
A murmur in the sighs of time.

    Vestige
Upon descending to the bottomless void,
Well under the wells of a putrid heart,
    Below the sunless desert sands,
Through forests of decay and blight:
I find the most sublime of dreams
A fantasy of death and life
    Locked in sempiternal dance.
This vision upon which eyes now lie,
Has neither means nor ends nor purpose here,
Except for that which my vestigial breath may bear,
To carry deep into that sacred night.

    Doubt
Loving you has taken the greatest, cruelest toll.
It has been the poison that has leached away my soul.
What have I gained from love?
    Great distress and terrible anguish!
    Oh that the heavens above
    Would hear my painful languish
That has been because of you.
Have you failed to see the harm,
That your naked hands can do?
    Or the great, hypnotic charm
Of eyes that leave me lost
    without a clue?

    Calypso
    My heart exudes joyous mirth,
As I walk under a moonless night,
The stars in heaven shining ever bright.
The ocean waves crash beneath my feet,
My heart is synced with their steady beat.
As always, time just floats on end,
    On a trail that flows without a bend;
    An everlasting reverie,
'Tis where you will always find me.
My soul is yearning ever keen,
For that which no man or eye has ever seen.
I am a foreigner in this broken land,
of death and light always at hand.
Time and time again I stray,
away from the path; to my dismay,
I find it is getting harder still,
to return to it against my will.
The skies above are rent asunder,
the heavens burst with rain and thunder.
    the lightning touches points afar,
leading the skies like the North Star.
Everything I loved has come undone,
chasing me and gripping me like the rays of the sun.
I am alone here, and while many come,
to this place of darkness they cannot succumb.
I am trapped here with an everlasting bane
    alone I will caress my sweet, dull pain;
As I have done, since well before your birth.

I wrote this as a comedy piece for my school's writers' reading- Sorry if it reads choppily, it is designed to be read aloud. It's called Netflix.

    You climb onto the bed
    Popcorn spilling on your lap
    On the blankets
    On the floor
It’s a Friday night and all your friends are out having fun
So it’s only fitting that you’re at home
In your pajamas about to watch every single episode of orange is the new black
    So open up the laptop-
    Pull up Netflix
    Click on episode one…
    And then it’s over
It’s Sunday night and you’re still in bed
But you haven’t slept at all
That’s 32 episodes in three days; a feat that deserves a world record
You’ve long since run out of snacks
How could the script writer do this to you?
    You loved those characters-
    That plot-
How could they do this to you?
    *sigh*
I wonder how breaking bad is…

Last night I said somethings. I did somethings.
I beat myself up and demanded for more.
I tried to cut but didn't know where to start and what to use.
I'm new to depression so can you teach me to self loathe?
    Teach me to self loathe?
Last night I said somethings. I did somethings.
I threw everything off my desk.
I destroyed the things I care about because I'm starting to believe I deserve it.
I want to push others away because today's going to be the day.
I'm new to depression so can you teach to self loath?
I'm starting to learn how hate myself.
Now I just need everyone else to hate me too.

    When it is dark
    And the world is quiet
    And even your heartbeat
    Seems the only noise
    Remember that someone
    Somewhere
    Somehow
    Is thinking of you.

I never shared my poems with anyone before..... It's kind of dark themed...

    Watching from a Distance
    but close in an instance
    Eyes blink, light then dark
I love you's turn to a menacing bark
    hatred and anger flaring
    The voices become overbearing

    Who is it this time?
The beauty, the beast? Yet another climb
    Trapped up in towers
    Each with unique powers
    One strong the other smart
    Never together but never apart

Heads are clutched, screams echo down
The crossroads, the beast smiles, always the dark clown
Which path is real, which is not?
Down deep below, the dungeon burns hot
In a corner, the real one huddles
Tears leak down cheeks to form puddles

Looking up hopeful, this one shouts a decree
With tear streaked eyes, One day I will be free...

This is the first one that I wrote, It starts out pretty dark but becomes more uplifting in the middle. I think most people that have had dark thoughts and were rescued from them can relate.

A world that has suppressed me.
    An existence that is confined,
    and bound within my heart.

    Silent suffering with no recourse.
No way to break the chains,
or to express my true self.

    This hopeless feeling smothers all.
I see no end to this torment,
no light to illuminate the darkness.

But, there is something in the distance.
    A flicker of something,
Like candle at the end of a hallway.

    I ignore it at first.
But, this light beckons me forward,
an constantly pulls me toward it.

    It has warmth about it.
It reminds me of old times gone by,
a sense of home and belonging.

    Almost like a mother’s love.
But, it is much more vast,
and reignited the tiny flame within my soul.

    Valentine's Day

    They don't like you
    But I do
    Someone likes you
    So don't be blue
Valentine's day may come and go
And the water under the bridge still flows
    They don't like you
    But I do
    Someone likes you
    So don't be blue
    I'll be forever faithful
    And remain always true
Just say that you like me too
And my heart belongs to you
