    Ok, honestly, I don't believe in this kind of thing, but so much just hits home, it's scary...

    Mars is in 09 Degrees Gemini.
    Your energies get turned on quickly whenever anything interests you. But you have a very short attention span and it is difficult for you to complete tasks because something else more interesting always seems to be beckoning. You love to debate and argue, usually in a spirit of friendly disagreement. But watch out that you do not get too overly aggressive or antagonistic or others will be quick to take offense where none may have really been intended. You need to be in constant physical motion -- sports or daily exercise is a must for you if you are to feel fit and healthy.

    I always thought I was a Virgo. Only a degree off, anyways. Virgo kind of fits, but I'm nothing like a Leo.

    The sign the planet Mars was in, at the date/time of your birth, can be different from the sign the sun was in (your 'main' sign).

    So if you are a Virgo sun sign, you are a Virgo.

    And your Mars can be in Leo. :slight_smile:


    In astrology, the different planets are supposed to represent different aspects of our self, our personality.

    Mars is supposed to represent what you want, and how you go about getting it. -According to the sign it's in.

    Holy crap...I'm not normally one who ascribes much accuracy to astrology. I'd never heard of my Mars being anywhere but the freezer...but I looked it up for some reason when I saw this thread, and it was uncanny:

    Hmmm...on the other hand, I just looked up my partner's Mars sign, and we both agree the description was *clearly* talking about someone else. My ambivalence toward all things zodiac continues.

    A lot of things can mitigate or even change the effect any single component of a person's birth chart would 'normally' have.

    Aspects (positional relationships) to other planets being just one of these. (Though usually a big one.) Personality astrology is quite multi-faceted; all the positions of planets at the moment of your birth are taken into account, and no two people's arrangements are exactly the same - ever.

    So I was initially turned off by the seeming "totally hit or miss" nature of simple descriptions I read, too. But eventually the times of "hits" became uncanny enough in their accuracy, for me, that I began to look more closely, over time, and actually began to read and learn a little more about astrology & how it works.

    That's when, once I knew the rules of astrology, it began to make even more sense...and now I'm hooked. :slight_smile:

    Your Mars probably has staightforward, uncomplicated or harmonious aspects to the other planets and factors in your chart.

    I'd be willing to bet that your partner's is not similar in that respect.

    (Either that, or your partner might have a Mars which is on the cusp between two signs...in which case, a very accurate birth time and location might be very important in determining which sign is Mars' true home, in their chart. Because a matter of a couple minutes in birth time can sometimes make the difference between a planet being in one sign, or another.)
