Why can't i donate blood?

    Those who say that testing has solved the problem are wrong. No test is infallible and even reliable tests can yield false negatives especially when the infection is recent. 0.5% of those infected with HIV do not develop HIV antibodies until after 6 months. And then there is an even rarer case where the infection is dormant and undetectable with conventional test and yet remains contagious.

    Just ignore Euler (most sensible people on here do) - if you want to donate blood, go right ahead. There is nothing stopping you. I would certainly donate blood but I can't motivate myself to do that.
