    Really? I like vanilla best, it's an easy choice. I eat other flavors too when I feel like it. Not a huge fan of chocolate ice cream though.

    Vanilla ice cream has a gender role? LOL, WHAT? I mean, unless your ice cream was pink with rainbow sprinkles and glitter, then you can't really sex ice cream. Even then, it's for taste... People stare at me when I drink very berry hibiscus refreshers from Starbucks. Sorry, but the cool lime is disgusting and those things wake me up with the green coffee! It's so stupid. It's just food/drink...

    I didn't even know gender stereotypes affected food choices. Except maybe when my friend told me that her mother asked her to choose between fish and sausages when she came out about her bisexuality.

    For the record, I'm a man and I love both strawberry and vanilla ice cream. My favorite is mint. And no, the pink in the strawberry ice cream doesn't bother me.

    It's a frickin' food, you're not going to poop out rainbows if you eat fruit loops.

    I cannot even comprehend an argument for food being gender specific, especially ice cream. Maybe, now this is crazy, but MAYBE your mother had such a traumatic experience with a vanilla icecream when she was younger that she just doesn't want anyone else to go through the pain... other than that... I just. HUH! Err....
