Best thing about being Transgender?

Changing your name, your birth given gender and the way you look like is basically like changing the identity given to you by fate into one that expresses who you really are deep down. When I first thought about it after everyone started calling me by my chosen name, it felt like real freedom. The freedom to know that you really can be anything and anyone you really want to be. Most cispeople never feel like that, and so they don´t even try to change the little things about them that bugs them. I´ve noticed that a lot and I can´t really understand it anymore... For me, that is what makes me happy; knowing I´m free.

Sorry if I sound a bit dramatic, like out of a book, but I´m always that way. :icon_wink

 

I think being transgender has helped me become more open minded about a variety of issues, so I would say that's the best thing.

 

You have some pretty good stories to tell, and an exciting life. Plus, I'm pretty certain all the friendly faces around the Gender Identity and Expression page wouldn't be here if they weren't trans :3

I suppose the fact that I have so many LGBT models to look up to for being a transdude into dudes. My favorite actor, who I regard as like my God, is gay. Whenever I feel bad about being LGBT I can just watch his It Gets Better video and feel better. Zachary Quinto is my role model and there are so many others out there to look up to. So I guess that's my favorite thing.

 

That, too. Except it's rather annoying at times (the incessant sex drive), but the payoff is sometimes worth the annoyance.

Well for one, I get to meet a bunch of awesome people , also to be able to express and accept my true self Nyu~

 

The amazing feeling I get when I get called Felix or have the right pronouns being used. Also I wouldn't have all the friends I have now if I was cis because I'd probably be less likely to be friends with girls
