How old were you when you realized your sexuality?

It's hard to say. I used to be very arty as a kid; I'd draw outfits I'd want to make and all sorts of things but usually there'd only be girls in those pictures. I remember going through a phase of trying to perfect my sketching skills by drawing segmented body parts (not as creepy as it sounds), but they would always be female.

I didn't really think consciously of my own sexuality until about 13 when the girls at school started bullying me and calling me a lesbian. Just because I wasn't clamouring at the boys and I spent more time in the art studio or the library than gossiping about who did what with their ex. Tbh, the guys in my secondary school were d**kheads anyway and the girls were worse. Most insightful bullying ever!

Tbh, I had the people around that I wanted around me. Bullies never really bothered me that much, but subsequently, the things they said never did either!

I think I had my first kiss with a girl at about 16 years and fooled around with one at 17. Unfortunately, I've yet to find a proper girlfriend

 

Being raised to be a straight girl, I always knew I was into guys. I did some experimenting in college to figure out if I liked girls, and I decided that, while they're very, very sexy, I don't find myself romantically attracted to them. But then, when I realized I'm transgender, which was late last year, I realized that I'm gay.

That is the journey through my sexual orientation.

 

About 26/27 when I discovered I'm atracted to male.
About 29 when I accept myself.
And 31 and half when I come out.

 

I'm a guy, my first handful of sexual encounters were with my male friends starting 6th to 8th grade. So 12-14? I'm basically straight with strong bisexual leanings. I will say I love gay porn as well. (sounds kinda funny after proclaiming my straightness yes)? I just like sex regardless of gender when you get down to it. I've always known, I just didn't realize it consciously until 6th grade. Didn't say it till 7th grade, and told my class I was bi in April of 2013, later on in my 7th grade year.

 

About 15 years ago I discovered that I like to perform oral on other guys. I never thought about a same sex encounter before it happened, after it happened I wondered why I didn’t act on my homosexual inclinations sooner. That was when I was in my mid-40s, now I’m sorry it took me so long to discover that I am Bisexual.

 

Hmm I think it was my first year of high school, I had a massive crush on one of the cute guys in my class :lol: But coming from such a homophobic family being gay was just not even an option so I tried my best to suppress those thoughts and put it out of my mind. Wasn't till a few years later after starting college that I really acknowledged and embraced the fact that I was gay.

 

I had never been interested in boys at all and got teased for it a lot but just kept assuming it would happen later. I always crushed on girl characters in shows and such, but at the time I just assumed it was admiration or thought they were really cool or something. I tried online dating a (really creepy older) guy and during this time (15 -16?) I had crushes on many female teachers and even though I labeled it as crushing I still never considered I could be gay. Then at 17 I got a huge crush on a classmate, ended what may not even be considered an !ONLINE RELATIONSHIP! with loser dude, got another crush, and was like "huh damn I might be gay, shit" and wished I wasn't for a while.

Then I went to college and got a million crushes and drunk made out with a girl and was still really uncomfortable with myself but knew I was super gay and now I am slowly embracing it, very very slowly (I think it's all my own self-esteem issues than actually liking girls, I'm just very critical about how they'll see me so it cycles back into pre-existing self-esteem issues).

I guess I must've gotten some inkling that I wasn't straight when I was 12 and realized I'd never had a crush on a guy. Following that, I went to a summer camp and all the girls in my cabin kept talking about how cute all the guys were. When I didn't join in, they jokingly suggested that I was a lesbian. (I ended up making some BS story about having a boyfriend to placate them.) That was when I began to consciously consider the fact that I was into girls. Around 13/14 I realized I really was probably gay when I started developing some very strong and un-ignorable feelings.

 

I realized that I was bi the minute I knew what it meant. I had acted a really gay in elementary school but until then I thought it was normal to stare at girls.

 

13 as asexual, but still have no idea of sexual orientation however asexuality fits the best

 

Thought I was bi when I was 13. Realized for sure that I just liked girls when I was about 14/15.

 

when I was young the other boys,would call me weird for hanging with girls more than boys, I didnt know what made me different until I had my first crush at 11

Probably when I was around 13. Although I tried to mask it with having a 'girlfriend'. It wasn't until I was 21 that I decided to take the plunge and come out to everyone.

 

I've had an attraction to women all my life, men also. But I was around 12 when I discovered properly what I liked.

When I was 14 I identified as bisexual but, at that time I was dating a guy and, I somehow without thinking knew, I was into girls too. Later I broke-up with him and, when I was about 16 I started to understand that I might be only intrested in girls. It was complicated because, I had a lot of strong platonic crushes on guys.

I've been questioning exactly where I am on the sexuality spectrum ever since then, though. I've decided I'm most likely bisexual.
