Any board-gamers here?

I'm pretty badass at card games with the exception of poker, which I could not be more terrible at.

I also like Life, especially when I get to sue people. :badgrin:

 

Monopoly, Chess and Risk are some of my favourites. I really want to try the Game of Throes board game which is supposed to be good.

 

I play: Monopoly
Scrabble
Trivial pursuit
I'm bad at all of them and proud of that

 

Years ago I read an article about Backgammon needing more smarts, analyzing and planning than Chess. :icon_bigg

 

Love board games.

 

I haven't heard of any of those. My favorite board game would be monopoly by far. But usually there's never enough people to play it or it takes so long that no one wants to play. As far as card games I would say I like canasta. Board games are better in my opinion though.

 

Does D&D count? The way my group plays it, we don't have a map or anything because our DM is blind...

 

My daughter loves playing monopoly with us and we always bring it with us on family trips. She also likes checkers (when we can find all the pieces) and Guess who. I would love to get her into other games that I loved as a child like clue and scrabble. My husband likes to play pictionary with the boys, especially after a few drinks lol.

 

I'd pick board games over video games any day! Or board games that have been made into video games -- those are fun too. Love Mahjong and Life especially. But card games are my thing: BS, Speed, Blackjack, Spoons, 2 card Poker, Hearts, etc. Never got into Solitaire though.
