Well, disappointment yet again for England at a major tournament. Not that I had great expectations, but I expected more than two losses in two games.

Hodgeson would be as well playing the kids and Forster against Costa Rica. No harm at this point.

I'd like to see Lallana and Barkley given starts, and maybe Wilshere too.

Nah, I still love him. But he's broken my heart right now lol. Luckily I have a few months before the season starts, so there's time to heal.

gutted absolutely sickening we lost shambles at the back again . suares showed why he's world class bit controversial at times.

The big difference between us and Uruguay (and Italy) is that we are missing that quality player like Suarez, Pirlo etc. We are just too average. The passing was slow and predicable and we didn't convert our chances like the other teams did. Lack of quality is the problem.

Im not too gutted, im just accepting that England are an average team and we lost to better opposition. I still like Suarez though. What a bad year Gerrard is having, first with that slip against Chelsea and then today with Suarez.

Im now going Dutch, come on the Netherlands!!!

I'm supporting the Netherlands too. They're great to watch.

Shame for England. We've improved since Euro 2012 but there was no real urgency, and again two big defensive blunders cost us dearly.

Wow, England is doomed, along with Australia.

Myself, I want two things to happen, as this unfolds: Italy to win, and Russia to lose. Or, for Uruguay to win.

England just needs one truly world-class player to do well. The Uruguayan team is riding on Suarez's coattails - I doubt they would have done as well without him. Just a shame some of out natural talent is not allowed to shine, particularly in the Premier League. We keep on going for Gerrard, who is knocking on a bit now.

Still, much improved on 2010, and maybe Euro 2016 will be our turning moment.

So, Belgium and Russia are playing Sunday morning. It's the rabid anti-gays versus the first to have an openly gay head of state (who's still in office) If Belgium whups them, it will make my month.

I hope Hodgson stays and what I think he should do is just start preparing for Euros 2016 in France. This world cup is over for England so he should concentrate on playing the same team from now on that will play in 2 years time. Even if that means Gerrard, Rooney, Johnson etc dont get to play for England again. Before this world cup he kept trying new things out and changed the team too much in friendlies and qualifying, he needs a consistent team from now on.

Exactly. I think Suarez only had two chances and scored with both of them. England haven't had a player who could do that since Michael Owen.

To be fair, it was a great flick on. At least now he's got an assist at this world cup

I hope Costa Rica beat us next week, I think they have played the best so far in the group and deserve to go through. Uruguay to beat Italy as well.

France are so lucky to get the group that they have, especially since they had to win a play off to qualify.

Well so much for that prediction. I'd say I don't expect Honduras-Ecuador to be any more interesting, but with my luck it'd end up being a close game.

Viva La France! I love to see high scoring games, and was really hoping for a 5-0 win, just for fun, but you can't have everything.

As a foodie, it was nice to see a victory from the nation that produces the worlds widest and best selection of wines and cheeses. Not to mention some very cute guys, along with Italy. Why do Europeans always seem to be generally hotter looking than Americans? Maybe it's just me, but something's up, here.

Rooting for Italy, France and Uruguay, now.
