What are you thinking?

Well... I broke up... With my therapist. I told my grandma today about some of the shit he's said and she was completely flabbergasted.

I'm also a published author. Well... Not really. But I ordered a print copy of a book I wrote when I had to be like, 14 years old. And even though it's crap, it's still really really cool knowing you wrote a book.

Now it really makes me want to get back into writing. Really thinking I should look into independent publishing- but it's too soon to say. That's putting the cart before the horse (and yes, I'm beating a dead horse here) but gotta write and edit before I can even think about where I'm going with it (yet wouldn't hurt to know where I might want to go).

And looks like boyfriend's plans fell through. ...so gotta figure something out.

Yeah, I have actually. That's actually how I got that print book. It was a promotion through winning Nano (but it's been 2 years since).

Every time I feel as though I am almost done researching these names, the list keeps growing...

Honestly, I would be wary of the new surge in independent publishing. The rate per copy is obviously far more attractive, but the sales of non-traditionally published books are almost always very underwhelming. Even the independent elites are truthfully only matching up to the average to slightly above average on the traditional charts. It just doesn't seem worth it.

Though I'm already set on traditional publishing, so I may hold some bias.
