    How I am kicking myself over the fact that I should've come out once I went to university in a city where no one knew me. How I've been there for about 2 years and how silly I feel for not letting myself to people I've grown to be friends with. Dang it. Hopefully posting this will help me figure out hat to do. I think it is already working. yay!

    Actually, the US has no official language, and I prefer it that way. That being said, the fact that US school systems are not requiring everyone to learn Spanish annoys me tremendously.

    I hate it when users delete their accounts/YouTube deletes their videos; I can't find the videos I enjoyed.

    This is my no.1 pet peeve with the Internet. The same applies for individual websites as well as YouTube videos/accounts.

    Yeah mom... yeah...

    I just do it because after a while it hurts and the longer it hurts the calmer I feel. I'm also paranoid that everyone I see wants to hurt me. Why? Money, maybe they know i'm trans, know me from school, just don't like me. Who knows, outside is hard.

    Americans are only required to study two years of foreign language to graduate secondary school in general. Anything more is just to meet university requirements. There is a push to study Spanish because of our population and neighbors, but there is always the option to study other languages in school.

    I almost opted to study French because of my partially French/Creole decent, but they lost the teacher at my middle school and I didn't feel like waiting until high school.

    I just got messaged by a girl who is basically a straight up troll. (on a dating site). And I like her :slight_smile: She's got, like, provocative shit all over her profile and answers, and I can't quite tell where she's being honest. And she's straight. I usually get anxious dating straight girls, since I worry about what they'll think about my trans history.

    I totally agree. Unfortunately, US Spanish classes are pretty much a joke in terms of rigor. As others mentioned, Spanish is quite easy, and the spelling is much easier than English. I think learning any foreign language greatly helps students understand grammar and language in general.

    This sounds so familiar. I am still reading a novel, though yet I'm thinking of wanting to read a short story collection and have a few more books I could easily pick up and read, among them Danube by Claudio Magris, which isn't fiction. :slight_smile:eek:slight_smile:
