    It immediately reminds me of Grey's Anatomy--Meredith's mom was named Ellis. It is a male name, but it sounds feminine. It also sounds very similar to Alice.

    One thing that I would caution you on, changing your name will not make people take you seriously if they are not ready to. From your post, it seems like you are looking at this as a magic bullet, which it is not. I would focus on why your family is not accepting instead of trying to force a legal name change on them.

    I like Ellis because it's very soft and simple. I actually knew an Ellis, but he was the only one I'd ever met. Emerson is also nice, though my mom has said that she only likes it for a girl, lol. (Don't let my mother change your opinion though, lmao! I think it's unisex.)

    Other suggestions: Felix (my bro's friends with a trans guy named Felix), Layton, Falcon, Bastion, Sebastian, Braylon/Braelon, Bennett, Jaxton, Farley, Soren.
