I can't see anything until it gets about an inch from my face. So I guess very near-sighted.

I've had those contacts for years though and my vision is semi-blurred when I wear them so I have no idea where I am now.

I don't really need corrective lenses all the time, but I'm slightly nearsighted. Just used to blur vision.

I wear contacts and glasses for nearsightedness AND astigmatism. My eyes suck and I can't wait to get lasic. >.>

Very nearsighted! But I don't like wearing my glasses all the time, it's a vanity thing. I only wear them for reading, tv, and computer. I could never wear contacts though.

I'm nearsighted in my right eye and have astigmatism in my left. I tried contacts but I found it too difficult to get them in the early hours of the morning. I've had glasses since I was 6 or 7..

I'm nearsighted with astigmatism and wear contacts. Supposedly I'm legal to drive without them which is a pretty scary thought.

VERY near-sighted. My vision is worse than my 44 year old mother's.

I can see things up close perfectly fine, but it's impossible for me to read print farther than a few yards away.

I got my first pair of glasses when I was 8, and my first pair of contacts at 12.
I've been through periods where I only wear glasses/contacts, but now I wear both.

I usually wear contacts during the day, then switch to glasses when I want to read or watch TV at night, but I sometimes wear glasses all day.

My right eye is nearsighted, so the left eye had to do all the work. A couple of years ago, I had to go to the doctor because I couldn't read the blackboard despite being on the first row  Now I wear glasses at school.

Oh wow. My mom wears contacts and reading glasses, but I've never really heard of wearing both. I'd never have Lasik unless I had to wear glasses and not contacts. I have heard that there can be some problems, like seeing halos around lit objects and glare.

I'm farsighted, but not as much as I was when I was a kid. I got glasses just before I turned 3. My parents noticed at dinner one night that I would stab the plate at random and then squint at my fork, hoping I got some food on it. Apparently, I had other eye problems, too, but the farsightedness was the main issue for several years and they didn't worry about other stuff, especially because I wasn't doing a lot of heavy reading at age 2. I got bifocals at 16 and now I think I look strange without glasses!

Not really sure. I was born with congenital glaucoma but I know I always had astigmatism (don't anymore). I always thought that astigmatism was just how your eye is shaped not really an alternative to near-sided or far-sided. But to answer the question i'm near-sided

Extremely near-sighted. I've worn glasses since I was six, and my eyesight continually gets worse. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Currently my eyesight is worse than my dad's. Ugh.

I'm nearsighted and have astigmatism. My vision is pretty bad! I wear contacts mostly, but I also wear glasses.

I'm nearsighted and have slight astigmatism, I've been in contacts since I was in 4th grade. I don't really enjoy wearing my glasses unless I'm just relaxing around my house.

Even though I had perfect vision after eye surgery, I do remember the halos round street lights (a bit like how chlorine affects you at the swimming pool), but this went after a few weeks. It's usually opticians who tell you not to have surgery, probably as they would miss out on your custom afterwards.

I have Irlen Syndrome - I wear coloured glasses because otherwise I'm basically illiterate, I bump into stuff, I get frequent migraines, I can't write very well, stuff like that.
